What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“This game could grow in a myriad of ways. A 3D skill 'sphere' instead of a tree. 30'ish classes of following ghosts, grouped into 5 groups that give bonuses to each other. A wide variety of enemies and armies to fight.

What's the most important? Where's the fun? Who will play it? All these questions can be answered with a community.

Also, Early Access allows me to pivot gameplay functionality very drastically in comparison to a live release.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Until it's 'done enough' for the general public. I have a playable game, but Early Access should end when basic gameplay will no longer go through fundamental changes. I expect this to take six months or less.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version will probably not grow as much as the Early Access version.
The current version of the game does not have enough characters, bonuses, groups, or skills. We plan on a bigger 'skill sphere'. We plan on more enemies and bosses, and several procedurally generated maps. We plan on prestige classes for spirits.
We may even get to an item system and a 'playable' card system with unidentified effects. The game as a concept has tremendous room to grow.

Generally, the early access game is the seed of what the larger game will be.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version has:
A main character with an aura
Several resurrectable 'spirit classes;' these heroes can be raised to fight alongside you and increase their level to be more helpful.
In-Game controller support
A Three Dimensional skill tree with many skills that affect the ployer in diverse ways and cannot be all purchased at once; this increases strategy bi”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“After Early Access, the game's price will go up somewhat.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“This depends on how involved the community wants to be. I plan on polls and votes in Discord, as well as asking questions and holding discussions in the Steam forums.”

About This Game

Survive a continuous onslaught of monstrous hordes. Resurrect the heroes they have slain, who refused to join them. Hunt down Baalzebub, defeat his minions, explore the depths of his dungeon, and destroy the Amulet of Yendor, lest it trap more mortals in its thrall.

The gameplay borrows from various other bullet hell and broken build games, primarily NetHack, SNKRX, and Vampire Survivors. The item system is more loot-focused. With a 3D skill tree, a wide range of collectable characters for each run, and synergetic abilities for your resurrected ghostly followers, every run can be drastically different. Some combinations will lead to success........ Others to your deathly essence being scattered.
