Why Early Access?

“We've been in Early Access for over a year now, and are quickly approaching our full v1.0 launch. At this point, we are taking in each and every bit of feedback from you, the players, on how we can answer your biggest asks without losing the vision we've had for this game for years, and we are looking forward to hearing what else you would like to see as we wrap up this phase of development, and prepare for the many more phases following our v1.0 launch.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We are currently in the late phases of Early Access, and expect that we will see a feature complete v1.0 launch well before 2026 ends.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We only have a few more major features to include in Early Access. Reworking how the Guild System works, Elite Dungeons, which are extremely challenging dungeons where you will manually control the combat of your Guild Officers, and a few more smaller features. When we fully launch v1.0, that will include an entirely new zone, a fully realized campaign with cutscenes, and a conclusion to Chapter 1 of our narrative.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“We are nearing feature complete. However, outside of features, we have many plans for performance optimization, which is constantly being patched in, as well as polishing the User Interface. We also plan to do a closer look into the game, ensuring that the pacing of the game and power of the heroes feels smooth and well-balanced.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No. We do not plan to increase or reduce the pricing of The Merchant's Guide to the Kingdom upon launch.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We will be actively discussing the game features and plans with the community via Discord, as well as taking in as much feedback as possible around the current features, the planned features, and any feature ideas our players may have to add to (or remove from!) the game. As this information makes it our way and we continue development into the next chapters of the game, we will be actively making any changes to the current content as needed to ensure the overall game is the best combination of our initial vision and the feedback from the community.”

A World Driven by Adventure

Except for your Guild Officers, heroes throughout the kingdom act on their own ambitions, forming parties, accepting quests, exploring dangerous regions, and competing for fame, fortune, and survival. Some may rise to become legends known across the kingdom, while others fall during perilous expeditions. Through both triumph and failure, the world continuously evolves around the stories created by its adventurers and the choices you make along the way.

Choose Your Preferred Challenge

Tailor the experience to your preferred style of play with multiple gameplay options, including a more forgiving experience on Softcore, or a high-stakes Hardcore mode featuring permanent hero death. In harsher settings, every expedition carries meaningful risk, adding tension and long-term consequence to your decisions while rewarding careful preparation, strategy, and resource management. Or, just fish all day.
