Why Early Access?

“We've been developing Slam and Roll for over 3 years and publicly sharing progress via Social networks. The gameplay and game engine is implemented to a state where we're satisfied to share it and the remaining work is primarily to add extra content. We've decided to launch into Early Access to allow people to play the game before it's finished and to guide the development further based on the preferences of the players.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“It will be on Early access about 5 to 8 months. We will work hard to reduce this time as much as possible.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“When Early access ends we plan to have:

- Full integration of online leaderboards.
For now, players' scores are being stored but only displayed in a community steam page. We plan to work in a new system that will allow players watch scores directly inside the game.

- Achievements.
We plan to add and calibrate achievements, so expect them with tweaks during EA.

- Extra mode.
We plan to add an infinite game mode that will be changing every few days, fun will never end. This extra mode requires a lot of experimentation so we will be creating and tweaking it during EA. Since it is supposed to be randomly generated, it requires a lot developing time, difficulty tweaks and bug fixing.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Game is fully playable with everything that says in the description of the game.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Final version will be priced a little bit higher.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We'll be looking to the Steam community forum to listen and chat about requests and implement features that will improve the game, both in terms of content variety but also things that will polish the gameplay and make it accessible to a more casual audience.”
