Miksi Early Access?

Seeking Light is an academic non-for-profit portfolio project, developed to demonstrate the skills of its team, and the hard work that is being done through its development. The game is at the moment in an Early Acces state due to it being an ongoing project made by students as their final year's project, but it is in a very playable state with good production values already.
The goals of the team include:

• See our project to completion this calendar year.
  
• Gather feedback from the community through social media, Steam discussion forums and live events like DreamHack Valencia 2022, where the game was playable in public for the first time.
  
• Implement the community feedback into the development of the coming playable levels, puzzles, enemy types, throwable objects, effects and bosses, as well as the existing ones.
  
• Add additional pages of Sunny's diary to unveil the secrets of her past.
  
• Write a conclusion to Sunny's story.

We expect to complete the development during this calendar year.

Millä tavoin lopullinen versio tulee eroamaan Early Access -versiosta?

We expect the final game to have all the features of the early access version plus
a more balanced and polished experience as well as extra content.

We expect to complete Seeking Light by implementing more playable levels featuring new puzzles, enemy types, several throwable objects with new effects and new bosses giving conclusion to Sunny's story.

In general terms, we expect an additional hour of playable content to be featured
in the final version.

Mikä on Early Access -version tila tällä hetkellä?

The game is in an ALPHA and early access state right now, however the
gameplay mechanics have been implemented to an advanced stage, and the
character designs and character mechanics that are already present in the game
are considered final for those characters. There is room for improvement based on
feedback. Now where the 'early' keyword really matters is in quantity of content
and player progression as well as polishing of systems such as UI and visual
feedback.

In the current version you can:

• Explore four distinct areas, each one with it's own mood and theme, carefully crafted.
  
  
• Solve the different puzzles of each zone.
  
  
• Fight the first five bosses of the game. Clotgor, Marvin, Dvärg, Igor and Tom.
  
  
• Collect pages of Sunny's diary to unveil the secrets of her past.
  
  
• Listen to the complete beautiful soundtrack featuring artists
  from all over the world.

Seeking Light is a portfolio based project, to demonstrate the quality of our team, and the hard ongoing work that we have been doing for the last 9 months of development, so it will be free for its Official Release too.

Through Twitter and Steam community forums we will collect the feedback that players would share, and so fix them before it’s Official Release.
