What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

Before buying the game, we recommend trying the demo first. The demo contains the same content as the first stage of Early Access, so there is no need to purchase unless you want to directly support the project. Adding it to your wishlist also helps us a lot.

Genimas: Life Reborn is an open-world game featuring a dynamic genetic system that allows players to evolve their character, adapting to different biomes, challenges, and playstyles.

We believe that sharing the game with the community early on allows us to gather valuable feedback and refine the gameplay experience. Early Access is a way for us to improve the genetic evolution mechanics and open-world exploration, making them feel more satisfying and enjoyable.

The development of Genimas: Life Reborn will continue regardless of sales. While having more resources would certainly help speed up the process, we are fully committed to completing the game no matter how long it takes. Engaging with the community helps us ensure we are on the right path and allows us to make meaningful adjustments along the way.

For more details about our development roadmap, you can check our full plan on Discord. Please visit the link available on this Steam page to join the server.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We want to be completely honest with this answer. We estimate that the development process of Genimas: Life Reborn could take anywhere from 2 to 4 years. This range is due to the complexity of the project and our commitment to continuously polish and improve the game.

If there are any delays, we will keep the community informed and clearly explain the reasons behind them. Our goal is to provide transparency throughout the entire development process.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The final version of Genimas: Life Reborn is planned to be a much more polished and expanded experience compared to the early stage of Early Access. We have planned to evolve the game by refining the core systems, developing and incorporating the remaining genetic mechanics, and expanding the game world into a vast continent. This could include the implementation of new dungeons with puzzles, boss dungeons, and more complex systems to create a richer experience.

It is important to note that these are general plans and our broader vision for the project. The final scope and specific details will be determined as development progresses and based on community feedback.

For more details on our development roadmap, you can check out our full plan on Discord, where we share the different stages and goals we have mapped out.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Currently, the game includes:

  • Several missions and quests designed to teach players the basic mechanics.
  • Some inventory mechanics and initial interaction systems.
  • Early genetic mechanics that introduce players to the evolutionary system, showcasing the innovative potential of an open world with variable genetic evolution.

Additionally, the visual art of the game is very close to the final version, although some visual effects (VFX) may still change or be adjusted.

The music currently in the game is temporary (placeholder), but it is intended to represent the style and atmosphere we aim for in the final version. So while not definitive, it reflects the artistic and emotional direction we want to achieve.
Some sound effects (SFX) are also placeholders or incomplete.

It’s important to note that the game is not optimized. We are using ray tracing technology, which means high graphical resources are required, and there is currently no lightweight version or advanced optimization options available.

Because of this early stage, players may experience:

  • FPS drops and latency.
  • Bugs or crashes that may cause the game to become unplayable in some cases.

For these reasons, we strongly recommend trying the free demo first, as it contains the same content as this first Early Access version. This way, players can evaluate the current state of the game before deciding to support us with a purchase.

Once we move to Stage 2, this answer will change, and you can always check which stage we are in by visiting our roadmap on Discord. Please check the link available on this Steam page to join the server.

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, we plan to gradually increase the price as we add more content and improve the game.

To show appreciation for those who support us during Early Access, we are using a progressive pricing model:

  • Stage 1 (First phase of Early Access): The game is currently in a very early and unpolished state, so its price is approximately 83% lower than the final price.
  • Stage 2 (Second phase of Early Access): Once the game has more refined mechanics and stable systems implemented, the price will increase to reflect 50% of the final price.
  • Full Release: When the game leaves Early Access, it will be sold at its normal price.

This approach allows early supporters to get the game at a lower price while also reflecting the increasing value and content as development progresses.

For more details on the stages and our development roadmap, you can check our full plan on Discord. Please visit the link available on this Steam page to join the server.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to actively listen to player feedback through our Discord server, whether it’s reporting bugs, pointing out issues like uncomfortable controls, or suggesting ideas players would like to see in the game.

However, our level of flexibility will depend on the development stage:

  • In the first stage of Early Access, since the game is in a very early and experimental state, we are open to radical changes if the community suggests improvements that make sense for the project.
  • In the second stage, many systems and core mechanics will already be built. While we will still listen carefully to community feedback, we want to be honest that not all suggestions will be feasible to implement, depending on how far along development is.

Our goal is to build the game together with the community, but we also want to be transparent about what is possible and realistic as development progresses.

You can join our Discord and be part of the discussion. Please check the link available on this Steam page to join the server.”
