Why Early Access?

“The best way to develop Tank Rush is through user feedback. The core gameplay loop involves tank battles, with upgradable Runes and Abilities, and while there are almost 30 of these so far, including more, and tweaking them correctly, will ensure the game is fun and balanced. Hopefully through Early Access the feedback will help develop these elements, as well as various multiplayer and single player aspects.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The game has been in development for almost 12 months, so I estimate another period of 6-9 months until it is complete depending on how many of the possible additions are included.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Refined PvP Options
We have Deathmatch, King of the Hill, Capture the Flag and Tank League, but there needs to be more maps and improved AI bots for all modes.
More Levels
Currently there are 10 single player levels, so there is more to add.
More Runes and Abilities
Almost 30 at the moment, but more to come.
More Player Tank Selections
Possible tank options with different stats.
More varied graphics
There is only one tileset for the levels, so another variation on the level graphics is planned.
Possible inclusions :
PVE Bosses - Would like solo player games to have more options, with some Enemy Bosses which drop loot.
AI Tank Players - There is basic bot AI implemented, but improvements to there functionality is planned.
Multiplayer over Network - This would be difficult to retro fit, but would be a nice option if possible.”

“Ready for alpha release
4 Player local coop
10 Levels which loop and increase difficulty
Deathmatch, King Of The Hill, Capture the Flag and Tank League PVP modes, with 5 levels to play for each mode
AI bots with basic functionality and navigation implementation”

“Yes, the price will be lower during early access”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Looking for suggestions on Runes, Abilities and gameplay, especially with multiplayer balancing. Also open to any suggestions which would improve the game as a whole.”

About This Game

Aliens have invaded Earth! The military have fought bravely but have all but been wiped out. You have been drafted to continue the fight using high tech tank drones. With the controls bundled into your hands, your task is to destroy the invaders and save the planet. But how long can you hold out?

Your futuristic tank can equip an Ability which can be activated to give extra powers such as shields, teleports and restoration. You may also equip up to 3 Runes which passively work together to make your tank more destructive. There are over 20 Runes to equip, giving many unique combination builds to help you fight the incoming horde. Like the idea of a glass cannon? Well include a 'Volatile' Rune in the mix and try your luck. Prefer a 'Tank' build, well add a 'Toughen' and 'Healer' Rune to beef up your chances.

Tackle the task with couch coop player vs enemy battles, or practice your skills and have a laugh with some player vs player action in King of the Hill, Deathmatch, Capture the Flag or Tank League battle modes. No one else to play? No problem, we've added AI bots to enhance the battle and improve your skills.
