Why Early Access?

“this is a 2D mining-logistics game: your crashed mining ship is your only base, a laser drills straight down, and everything you dig has to come back up on belts — into machines, into research, into stronger drills, bigger power grids and a thicker shield, until the ship can finally launch. Underground water has to be managed, and things keep falling out of the sky.

Games like this live or die on balance and pacing, not on any single feature. How fast a belt should run, how dense an ore layer should be, how long a research node should take to earn — those numbers can only be tuned against real players. I already run offline self-checks on the simulation itself (fluid conservation, the unlock path across all 274 research nodes, recipe loops), but "is it fun?" is a different question, and that's the one I need you for.

The current build is playable end to end: laser digging, belts and miners, processing, power, a 274-node tech tree, three stages of ship repair, a liquid/water simulation and threat waves with a shield dome. What's missing is content, polish and balance — the art is being replaced right now (the ship and the ore sprites are already in), and audio, onboarding and deeper strata are still ahead.

That's why I'm starting Early Access now: to put a rough but complete game in front of people who'll tell me what feels wrong. Your feedback decides what I build next.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The game is expected to remain in Early Access for roughly six months, though we will not set a firm end date. This is because we hope to collaborate with players to explore new gameplay mechanics, prioritizing player experience above all else.

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“This Early Access build is fully playable from start to finish, yet rough in both content and polish. The full release is planned to add the following:
Tutorial and onboarding (currently non-existent; top priority for the first month of EA)
Complete main story and ending: The storyline of repairing the ship and launching into space will get full cutscenes and closure (only functional logic exists at present, no cinematic sequences)
Additional strata and hazards: Deeper mining layers, more varieties of falling debris, and matching defensive countermeasures
More content: Expanded buildings, items and recipes (currently 18 buildings, 84 items, 274 tech nodes)
Balance and polish: Production line pacing, tech cost scaling, power and shield stats
Art and audio: Replace all placeholder assets with finished art, add missing music and sound effects
This is a roadmap, not a binding commitment. Player feedback during Early Access may shift priorities. I will explain any changes in patch notes.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“What you can play right now:
Full core gameplay loop: Drill downward with lasers → Transport ore back to the ship storage → Conveyors / miners / processing / power generation → Research technologies → Repair your ship
Research and crafting system with 274 tech nodes, 18 buildings, and 84 items
Infinitely deep map streamed by camera view, with rock layers and ore veins separated by depth
Liquid simulation (water: connectivity, mass conservation, gradual leveling)
Threat waves and umbrella shields, ship repair stages, save/load functionality, music and sound effects
What is missing (please read before purchasing):
No tutorial or onboarding — you will need to figure things out on your first playthrough. This will be added within the first month of Early Access.
Art assets are still being replaced.
Balance not finalized: numbers are still being tweaked, and long-game pacing may change.
Some systems (Temples & Relics, Lava and Oil) only have bare-bones frameworks for now.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to increase the pricing after the preemptive experience, so you can enjoy the low price when you buy now, and you will feel the changing process of the game.”

Simple Simulation is a 2D side-view mining and logistics builder.
You crash-land on an unfamiliar planet aboard the Old Iron. Your only goal: dig through it, repair your ship, and leave.

Digging Down Is the Only Way Out
The ship's tractor laser is your only tool. However deep the laser drills is however deep you can build. Deeper strata are harder and richer — and every meter of laser progress is paid for in power.

Turn Ore Veins Into a Production Line
Start with miners, conveyor belts and smelters. Smelt ore into ingots, then assemble parts and machines. 18 building types and more than 80 items and recipes take you from your first hand-dug copper to a fully automated factory.

A Tech Tree With Over 270 Nodes
13 branches and more than 270 nodes, from vein prospecting all the way to the quantum lab, turn a crashed survival into an underground factory.

The Danger Isn't Only Below
Threats come from above in waves. Repairing the ship and surviving every wave is what it takes to leave this planet.
