About This Game

You Deserve a Seat at the Table provides players with the right tools to excel in corporate environments. This 2D Puzzle game offers an exciting alternative to common dull approaches. Ordinary business concepts such as Critical Thinking and Problem Solving are taught through interactive mini-games. Working your way up the corporate ladder can be tough, but it doesn’t have to be!



With You Deserve A Seat, players can simulate a learning experience built to help them succeed. After arriving to their first day of work, players are led to the Board roam to learn tricks of the trade. They are given the option to select a Board Member and complete the corresponding puzzle. Each Board Member represents a concept and offers insight into becoming successful. Mini-games like dice stacking teaches players how to find creative solutions when unusual difficulties occur.



Tips will trigger at the start of all mini-games and can applied to real world situations. From preparing for a first interview to building a solid rapport with your boss. These will be sure to come in handy across all office settings.


How to Play

There are three professional concepts to explore that teach valuable skills and values. Each concept serves as a level and has its own mini game for an interactive experience. At your discretion, levels can be selected and played in any order. All will include tips and a tutorial narrated by the "Working Joe" character.


Player Identification

After the game has loaded, you are given the opportunity to enter your name before playing. There is no requirement on the length of name provided nor are nicknames prohibited.


Level Selection

Once you have finalized your preferred name on the previous screen. You will be introduced to the board room with its accompanying members. To select your desired level, hover over the mini game name attributed to the specified member.
Before each mini game, there will be a randomly selected tip displayed on the game screen. Each tip will relate to the selected concept and provide more insight into professionalism. As one tip cannot encompass all experiences in the corporate world, there will be an assortment with every level selection.


Mini Game Levels

Creativity (Dice Stacking)
Creativity in the workplace allows for collaboration and fresh new ideas that could be beneficial to the company. If you are faced with a problem that you are unable to solve, being creative can help you to be more flexible in your approach. You can examine all sides of the issue to gain inspiration and be innovative in your solution.
This mini game helps to promote creativity by presenting you with a unique problem requiring experimentation. In learning to stack the dice, you are building up your creative skill through thinking outside of the box.


1. Click and drag to rotate the screen.
2. Use the scroll to zoom in and out.
3. Right click and hold to drag the dice.
4. Drag the dice onto another
5. Win this game by completing and building a full stack of dice


Critical Thinking (Chess)
Being able to think critically in the workplace shows that you are a valuable asset to the team and a potential leader. This skill helps you to focus more on details and take logical steps to diagnose problems. In fact, this could lead to finding errors and irregularities in your work resulting in a higher quality.
Chess has proven to be beneficial in increasing intelligence, memory, and perspective. Regularly engaging in a game is not only useful in those areas but also in furthering your Critical Thinking.


1. Players tap on the chess pieces then tap on the desired square.
2. Each chess piece (both player and opponent) has health points.
3. Win this game by eliminating your opponent’s chess pieces.


Problem Solving (Trivia)
Another indicator of potential leadership is effectively solving complex problems within the workplace. This shows you are proactive in your approach and determined to get things done. In the long run, this could help to save time and money by making it easier for others to understand certain things.
Trivia is an excellent way to exercise your problem-solving skills. This mini game is all about outsmarting your opponent through careful answer selection. You will navigate through an office building using your knowledge of office etiquette until you reach the top floor.

1. Use your phone to swipe in the direction that you’d like to move.
2. You can only move one tile at a time until chosen again.
3. When you land on an Enemy tile, a trivia question will appear on your screen
4. Tap the appropriate responses on the Trivia Screen to continue
5. When the correct response is chosen, you are able to continue moving through the level.
6. Win the game by making it to the 10th floor, representing a promotion.
