Brought to you by the designer of Ultima Online and Star Wars Galaxies, STARS REACH is all about fulfilling the promise of what online worlds can be.

It’s a single shardless galaxy full of living planets to explore, settle, and rule with your friends. Thousands of planets and space zones, each persistent whether you’re online or not, all connected into a single galactic online multiplayer game.

It’s a massively multiplayer sandbox RPG with a deep skill tree horizontal progression system, dozens of professions, and no classes, gender locks, or annoying rails. If you decide you want to change your build, just let some skills fall out of practice and go learn something else. It’s built for immersing you into an alternate world of adventure.

This huge galaxy won’t get in the way of having instant fun, though. Download your brainwaves into a clone body close to your friends. Have fun in a five-minute session – or spend hours decorating your house. It’s a modern online game that respects your time and preferred ways to play.

EXPLORATION AND DISCOVERY

Explore and map newly discovered worlds on the far side of wormholes inhabited by extradimensional creatures. Every planet has unknown flora and fauna with varying smarts, behaviors, and taste for human flesh. And every world is alive. Get swept away by the current of a raging river, or watch a forest burn when you carelessly miss your shot. These are planets where trees grow and water flows, where creatures live out their lives migrating and competing. Planets where seasons change and where what you do to the environment around you persists – and matters.

HARVESTING RESOURCES

Every planet and space zone has unique resources with unique stats. You can even mine a planet out, in which case you’ll need to discover new worlds with the materials you need. Tunnel through the landscape as a miner, or start a farm growing purple wheat under a blood-red sky. Thanks to the living world simulation, the strategies for finding, farming, mining, and harvesting have never been richer.

MASTER CRAFTSMAN

Become the most famous supplier of spaceship engines and rule a commercial empire.
Craft thousands of items both useful and decorative, in a deep crafting system that makes use of both mass production and artisanal crafting with the ability to experiment on stats to create unique results. Brand and visually customize your goods and build game-wide fame. You matter as much as combatants do in this galaxy.

BUILD A TRADE EMPIRE

Run a mom and pop shop or a tavern on the fringe of civilized space. Sell your genetic samples from exploring planets. Subsist as an explorer, selling the maps of virgin worlds. Buy low, sell high, and smuggle clandestine Old One artifacts past the Servitor suppression fields. A full player-driven economy drives the galaxy, and all the best stuff is made by players. Economic balance is preserved with local goods markets.

FIGHT ALIEN CREATURES

Third person action arcade combat with just a hint of bullet hell! Dodge and weave, or pop your reflector shield to bounce energy beams back at your enemies. Different weapons and a module socketing system give you dozens of combat skills to learn. Bad aim? No worries – choose weapons and skills with classic tab-targeting or homing bullets! And most importantly – you can always play with your friends, because our horizontal progression system doesn’t keep players apart.

MODIFY THE ENVIRONMENT

Our shared multiplayer environments are fully persistent, and fully modifiable. You can sculpt the terrain, harvest and replant bushes and trees, and change where water flows to irrigate a desert and make it bloom. Combat gets better when you can drop a cliff face on your enemies. Crafting gets better when you carve underground mining complexes. Farming gets better when seasons and soil quality matter. And making a place your virtual home has never been this expressive before.

RULE YOUR PLANET

Earn experience as a leader of others – there’s a leadership skill tree! Get elected as the mayor of a town or the governor of a world, or the head of any of several types of guilds. Set the laws of the land – will your world be a PvP-enabled den of pirates, or a safe zone roleplay haven? Set tax rates and policies to try to keep your planet alive – or strip mine it to bare rock and risk incurring the wrath of the Servitors who tend the galactic Garden. The stars are yours now, and you’re going to have to decide what to do with them.
