Expand the Celebration with two DLC Packs!

Atari and developer Digital Eclipse are excited to share a significant addition to Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration with two all new DLC content packs: The Wider World of Atari and The First Console War.

Each pack offers 19 additional games as well as a new interactive timeline, featuring more exclusive interviews, historical artifacts, and context for the games themselves. See more details about each DLC and their release dates below:

DLC 1: The Wider World of Atari

Release Date: 09/26/2024

The story’s not over yet! THE WIDER WORLD OF ATARI introduces a new timeline with more games, historical artifacts and video interviews that explore the creation of Atari games.

Features:

• 19 new games including Berzerk, Atari Football (the first Trak-ball game), and underappreciated gems of the 2600 library

• New timeline with eight new video segments, including: Al Alcorn’s story on the creation of Breakout, the search for rare prototype games, and a spotlight on artist Evelyn Seto, who helped create the famous Atari Fuji logo

DLC 2: The First Console War

Release Date: 11/08/2024

It’s about to go down! Well before the current day console wars dominated social media and message boards, Atari's VCS and Intellivision collided in the first major video game rivalry in 1979.

Features:

• 19 new games including several rare M Network prototypes available here for the first time

• New timeline video interviews with M Network programmer Jane Terjung, Activision’s David Crane & Garry Kitchen, homebrew programmer Dennis Debro, and historians Leonard Herman & Mike Mika

Players can also acquire both DLC packs through the following methods:

Atari 50: Expanded Edition DLC Bundle includes immediate access to DLC 1 and will grant access to DLC 2 upon its release.
