Every card moves the battle

Spellstrider is a turn-based roguelike deckbuilder fought on a tactical grid. Even movement is a card: Spellstride across the board, line up your attacks, slip behind a foe for a backstab, or shove an enemy into a pit. Enemies don't wait for your turn to end. Every card you play gives them a chance to answer, so each move counts.

Fight on the grid

• Position matters. Facing, backstabs, push and pull, line and area attacks, obstacles and holes all change the fight.

• Spend energy, draw, discard and exhaust, and upgrade your cards between battles.

• Over 300 cards, from blades and arrows to frost, shadow and summoning.

• 70 enemies with 60 traits and 36 status effects, plus 8 bosses. You never know which one waits at the end of an act.

Choose your road

• Three acts of branching maps: battles, elites, camps, merchants, treasure and boss fights.

• Strange encounters along the way: the Whispering Woods, the Cavern of Echoes, the Spell Weaver and more, each with a choice to make.

• Recruit over 60 animal companions who fight beside you and fill your Sanctuary across runs.

• 29 potions to turn a losing fight.

Climb higher

• 20 Ascension levels for players who want a real challenge.

• Endless Mode: beat Act 3 and keep going, with enemies growing stronger every loop.

• Score and speedrun leaderboards (daily, weekly and all-time), and over 50 achievements.

Better with a friend

Invite a Steam friend into 2-player online co-op. Each of you has your own deck and health against shared, scaled-up enemies. Co-op runs save and resume.

Play your way

Full controller support, a mouse, or Steam Deck. The game saves automatically, even mid-battle.
