왜 앞서 해보기를 진행하나요?

“Due to the open sandbox nature of the game, new things to interact and experiment with will be added, changed or removed consistently. Due to this, having a community which can approve or disapprove of any changes is crucial to making a quality experience.”

얼마나 오래 앞서 해보기를 진행할 계획인가요?

“The games development is currently on indefinite hold.”

정식 버전은 앞서 해보기 버전과 어떻게 달라지나요?

“The final game will include 3 different tribes, each with unique cultures, buildings and natural habitats. There will also be a slew of additional maps to accommodate for these villagers, which will also come along with varied natural disasters to overcome.

These tribes will also be able to interact with each other in a variety of ways, and mixing the villagers cultures into new villages be a huge part of the full game.

In addition to this content, the Giant them self will also be given more and more ways to interact with the world around them.”

“The project is currently in a state of development of which the core game-play is present, however is currently lacking in key content to be added later. It is similar to that of a demo of the final game as of now.”

“The pricing for the final product is currently being decided, however the price will not increase before or after the full official launch.”

“Whenever a new update is published (usually every month or two) a full list of all changes will be published alongside any current plans for the next update. Of course we are also always listening to feedback on any issues that might arise with every new update.”

As the sun emerges from the endless ocean, the villagers pray that the Giant will grace them with good deeds and a helping hand.

The Giant of Torridge Island is a sandbox game in which you can either help or hinder the life on an island. The Giant has the abilty to pick up almost anything and can make the objects interact in a variety of ways by placing them next to each other. These interactions will affect life and nature on the island in both positive and negative ways.

The villagers pray into the night, hoping the Giant will not return tomorrow.

Whether you wish to plant trees or chop them down, help build houses or destroy them, breed animals or hunt them, your influence will be felt by all, and ultimately determine the fate of the island and all the inhabitants of it. Just as The Giant molds the native villages, the villagers mold The Giant, every good deed delivered upon the residents will grant a star, while every bad deed inflicted will grant a tear. Collecting enough of either will make the Giant grow and become more powerful.

The Giant grows through the emotions of the villagers, learning how to further their happiness or misery. The Giant appears unmoved by which of the two is inflicted upon the islanders.

As the joy or torment of those on the island grows, The Giant manifests into that of what the villagers imagine the true nature of the Giant to be: an angel or a demon. As these feelings fester among the population The Giant will learn new abilities which reflect the villagers' notion.

And so another page in the tale of this island comes to a close. What lessons are to be learnt from today? What fate awaits the island tomorrow?

Whether you want to slowly build up a village with sprawling wildlife or destroy everything that has been built before, there are a variety of ways to play, and with constant content updates adding new tribes, maps and abilities for the Giant to employ, there will always be something new to discover on Torridge island.
