What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is still under development, hence the Early Access. The current state of the game is Alpha and the current available game build is V.2.1.6, which serves as a foundation for future updates. Players are able to play Single Player Mode, Hell Mode, Multiplayer Mode and Practice Mode. The more you practice, the more it will affect overall performance in other game modes. Online servers are very expensive, but it is a massive goal that I need to achieve in favor of the community.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Price will not change when the game leaves early access.”

We chose Unreal Engine 4 because it lets us break things beautifully. We’re not chasing cinematic fluff, we’re chasing atmosphere. The way a flashlight hits fog. The way a body collapses under weight. The way silence feels loud in the dark.

UE4 gives us the tools, but HellFull isn’t about tech flex, it’s about how the world hits you when it’s falling apart. We push the engine hard so the game feels heavier, darker, more alive… and more dangerous.

We’re planning to upgrade to Unreal Engine 5 down the road, not just for visuals, but for what it can help us build next.

HellFull – The Last Hope wasn’t made by a team. It was built by one person, Niël, over seven relentless years, driven by a dream that refused to die.

This isn’t some overnight indie story. It started 15 years ago with a spark, a world, a feeling, an idea. No budget. No shortcuts. Just obsession. Every line of code, every sound, every mechanic was learned from scratch, tested, scrapped, and rebuilt better.

Through countless failures and small victories, Niël taught himself everything, Unreal Engine, 3D design, AI logic, animation, UI, lighting, optimization, publishing, all of it. Alone.

This game isn’t just a project. It’s a personal war against the odds. And the version you’re playing now? It’s only the beginning.
