What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We are a small but dedicated team, with lots of ideas and things we want to add, but we want to create a product for all, so as we have now moved out of Alpha with the beginnings of out early Beta stage, we now want to continue or work to inviting people to play our product, so we can continue as a community make it better by continue requesting and testing features or changes as needed. So that hopefully by the end of the Beta we will have a product that fits most if not all.”

Approximately how long will this software be in Early Access?

“With our current time plan, and with the current content we want to add, and by the fact we expect to still be in beta to at least the end of 2024, we expect to leave Early Access sometime in late 2026 at which time we plan to have added all our planed features and will then move out of Early Access.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Our plan for the finished version of the application to have more features in general and more modularity to the handouts than we have currently. We plan to achieve this by adding some more components to the handouts, as well as some more major features like The Scenes and Grid System that the team is currently working on, in addition to the base game getting all the base features for most TTRPGs, we will also be adding Premium features in forms of Feature Packs or DLCs, that will unlock some more specific features not necessarily needed by all, but for some is a nice addition to the game or just a simple nice to have. In summary the finished version will be a more feature packed application then the current version, with more options and modularity to it and with the added optional features for those who want them to be picked up as DLCs.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“In our current version we have just started on the beta version. Which we expect to be in until we have added all our currently planned major features, we expect to stay in Beta until at least the end of 2024.
Our current list of major features added so far is:
- The Handout System, that is the core of the application and that allows you to design your own handouts by filling the base handout window with whatever available components you want in your own configuration, and if you want you can even share your design with the community on our discord.
- Chat System allows for normal messaging either to all or a specific player and the use of commands such as /r or /roll for rolling different combinations of dice in the chat.
- Asset System, allows the host to add assets such as Png, and Mp3 files to be shared with the players, for example in one of your handouts you can add a Image component and set it to be a local asset instead of a Url, then the asset system will make sure that the asset is being synced to all players that has access to the handout so that all can see the image.
- Music Player (Premium Feature Pack / DLC, can be bought separately) it allows the host to play music to themselves and their players, by adding mp3 files to their assets section.”

Will this software be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The short answer is NO, the base game is and always will be FREE, however we will add some premium features along the way, that are not used by all, but by some, and these premium features will most likely change in prices as they are updated, and as the game progresses closer to being finished.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“By joining our Discord server (link on our Steam Store Page, Available On Early Access), people will be able to share content and discussions with other players, as well as proposing and voting on new features or changes to the application and be able to leave and read other people’s feedback and potential bug reports.””
