Welcome Captain, we have an emergency...


In a distant future embark on a dangerous journey onboard the titanic vessel, the Legatus Astartes, as its captain.

Hundreds of light years away from Earth, orbiting an alien planet, you are revived by the ship's AI when the situation become critical. A series of mysterious incidents threaten not only the success of your mission, but also the life of thousands of human colonists in hypersleep.

Taking inspiration from legendary games of the early '80s, as well as some iconic sci-fi movies of the same period, Drones: Defenders Astartes will put you at the helm of formidable space drones capable of immense firepower to reimagine the shoot'em up formula.

With tens of systems to manage in real time, from shields to scanners, decoys and IR lights, Drones immerse players in engaging gameplay rooted in the '80s technology.
Manage weapons systems and sensors while developing offensive and defensive tactics; it will feel not only very real but also interactive.

Without compromising on the easy gameplay of the golden era of shoot'em up, piloting your fleet of drones will feel strangely familiar but also rewarding.

As if it was not enough piloting the drones in the unknown, you will have to endure the Legatus Astartes strong willed AI, Mater Astri, that will not miss a chance to highlight how humans beings are so... fallible.

In Drones you will find:

  • A new take on the old Shoot'em Up formula with innovative gameplay.
  • Tens of systems to manage during each mission, for a more tactical, and less frenetic, gameplay.
  • Intelligent enemies that will react to detection and will use evasive actions, following the same rules as the player.
  • Upgrades all the major systems of your fleet's drones to face different threats.
  • Fully voiced mothership's AI, Mater Astri ... that is actually voiced by an AI!
  • A compelling plot told trough a series of mission briefings and in-game events, all fully voiced by Mater Astri.
