What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Some of the best features implemented into Tetraphobia have come from friends, family and fans who enjoyed playing the game.

"Damn it'd be awesome if..."
"What if you could just..."
"If this was added it'd be insane!"

There's always a balance between a good idea and feature creeping but I believe the community can play an incredibly powerful role in helping to shape some of the ideas for bosses, powerups and unlockable content within the world of Tetraphobia.

As a solo developer getting an early access community will be invaluable for helping me to tweak, polish and prepare the game for the final release and I encourage everyone who's interested in having an impact to get involved via discord!”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Whilst the schedule does remain flexible and would be dependant on just how much community engagement I get. I wouldn't want to release Tetraphobia in a broken state, so the answer really is "as long as it takes to make the game I'm happy with" - I currently expect this to be approximately 1 year.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version will contain more regions, enemies, artefacts, bosses, character progression items and develop the main story and world further.

I plan to add 2 whole new content regions that feature the Titan of Magic and the Titan of Greed which come with their own set of bosses, powerups and enemies.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current game is a subset of the final game. It contains a couple of the Titan regions that are polished to a high standard, a number of NPCs to interact with 8 different bosses, 50+ different enemies and 100+ powerups.

You can still expect a fair amount of content and replay-ability with the early access version of the game. For a more specific list of features you can check the "About This" in the description”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The early access price will be set to a single minimum price and it will remain the same price for the whole of early access. The final price will be increased when I release from early access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The best place to get involved in the development process is to head to the discord.

As the community grows I plan to host regular polls to allow the community to vote on which feature set they would like to see. There will be an open suggestions channel and I will work hard to ensure that the best ideas are brought forward to the wider community.

The discussions forum is a great place to share feedback and thoughts about the early access version of Tetraphobia”

About This Game

Tetraphobia is a roguelite action shooter that takes the dungeon crawler experience and exposes it to the skies. Play as Trixx, a treasure hunting rogue equipped with a transforming bow, and fight through a procedurally generated world of floating islands filled with dangerous creatures and powerful titans.

Utilise your transforming bow that can swap between long and shortbow on the fly to give you different strategies to battle. Shoot, dodge and blast your way through enemy encampments with the shortbow or play from a distance and utilise armour piercing charge shots from your longbow.

Battle Ferocious Titans

Set in a beautiful world of floating islands inspired by an East-Asia fantasy style, The Fractured Sky is a dangerous place where people can succumb to their fears. Four Titans guard different realms throughout the world each with their own unique identity. Different realms will offer unique enemies, bosses and a host of unique artefacts.

Exciting Artefacts with Powerful Effects

With multiple unique regions, a huge variety of artefacts, exciting modifiers and untold secrets - Tetraphobia is brimming with rouge-like details that will keep every run feeling fresh and unique. Depending on which realms you visit and the secrets you find you may end up with an incredibly jacked up bow, powerful allies or a small army of cats.

If you discover an artefact that doesn't synergise well with your current build you can always trade it at the airship island.

Hunt for Cat Treats

Of course, the most important loot you can find in The Fractured Sky is cat treats! These meow-verlous creations will give you the chance of finding extra loot from your cat Companion Reno. It's still a mystery why he doesn't just give you the loot in the first place.

Throughout your journey you'll rescue others who have been consumed by their fear. Once rescued, they will give you access to more advanced artefacts and unique modifiers that will affect The Fractured Sky in different ways. Some will offer you unique challenges and quests with unique rewards to make your journeys more exciting.
