Hvorfor tidlig adgang?

“Because we are a small team, we want to invest our time and development resources into what matters the most to the community.
We believe the game will change and grow significantly as we gather feedback and ideas, and Early Access is the ideal process to maximize these changes before a more official release delivers a stable feature set.

There are many innovations in this project (combat system, items, crafting and interaction with the environment) that need to be prioritized, and we want players to help us define what is worth developing more, and what could be implemented in a more classic way. We believe that a solid game should be a balanced mix of proven and innovative gameplay.

The stream integration is one of the core features of the game, and requires involvement from both streamers and viewers to get right. The game has to be available to the public (even in an early state) for this involvement to be possible.”

Hvor lang tid vil dette spil være i tidlig adgang?

“Our current plan is one to two years. This will depend on the scope and priorities that we will define with the community.”

Hvorledes kommer den fulde version til at være anderledes end produktet i tidlig adgang?

“We are planning to first iterate on existing game modes to make the base game as fun as possible. Then, depending on community feedback, we plan to expand the content and make the experience more varied and replayable, with potentially more game modes, arenas, ook skins, customization options for the gym, items and powers.”

Hvad er den nuværende tilstand for versionen med tidlig adgang?

“All the main features are in: the combat system (including elemental abilities and environmental interactions), the ook AI system, one arena, the gym, two basic game modes, a dozen items and stream integration.”

Ændrer spillets pris sig under og efter tidlig adgang?

“The game will always be free. There might be paid additional content for cosmetics.”

Hvordan har I tænkt jer at involvere fællesskabet i jeres udviklingsproces?

“We are planning to make our roadmap public on a platform like Trello, continuously gather feedback from the community through feature voting, surveys, and keep a direct communication channel on our Discord server and X. We also plan to post regular development updates on our website (monthly) and Discord (weekly).
To improve stream integration specifically, we are planning to work closely with content creators by using dedicated feedback channels on Discord.”

Ook Boxing is a first person melee crowd brawler where you harness elemental superpowers and clever environmental weapons to take on relentless hordes of anthropomorphic apes known as Ooks. Fight your chat with stream integration. 

Ook Sandbox 

Experience melee combat against dozens, hundreds, thousands of angry individuals.

Find and purchase items, combine them together to manipulate your environment: fuel, fire, water, explosions are all viable options to defend your throne.

Earn sacred powers and control elements (earth, fire, thunder) to inflict maximum damage to the impolite crowd.

Stream Integration 

Let your viewers join in through chat as ook AIs, with their name, skin, and the ability to control the horde with chat commands as an Ook Captain.

In lobby, donations will unlock the most unique ook skins.

In game, donations will roll the Curse wheel adding extra difficulty to the player.
