Canyon

왜 앞서 해보기를 진행하나요?

“Our goal is to have the game meet our completed vision for it. We hope that releasing it early will help us finish the game to a higher standard with the influence of the community than we would have done ourselves otherwise. The first step to achieve that is to have the currently existing features feel polished and engaging and to apply feedback we receive on what we could add more to expand and improve the game. We are ready to continuously update the game and let it have its future shaped by the players.”

얼마나 오래 앞서 해보기를 진행할 계획인가요?

“A year, at least. A lot depends on the feedback we receive and the features being added to the game potentially delaying it for the sake of increased quality.”

정식 버전은 앞서 해보기 버전과 어떻게 달라지나요?

“We plan to add more dangers to the player and children and make it more involved for the player, more mechanics for growing children like the need for warmth, more maps, and more abilities. Also a bit more cinematic history for the game. In addition to bug fixes, and tweaks to existing features with things included but not limited to improvements to AI or smoother animations.”

앞서 해보기 버전은 현재 어떤 상태인가요?

“The game is in a playable state with some bugs here and there and some mechanics might feel a bit limited. For the list of current features in the game please refer to the "About This" section.”

앞서 해보기 기간 전후로 게임 가격이 달라지나요?

“We do not have any plans to increase the price of the game before the release. At release, only if the game grew enough to justify the price change, it might increase.”

개발 과정에서 어떻게 커뮤니티와 소통할 계획인가요?

“Community is to help us improve the game quality by giving us feedback about what new features they would like to see in the game, providing us with invaluable bug reports, and allowing us to make the most fitting decisions for the future of the game. 게임 정보

You are a lizard, trapped in a canyon. Your only hope is to hunt, eat, and help raise your new family so that eventually you evolve the skills needed to escape. You will guide your children away from dangers and towards the food so they can grow and allow you to evolve. A casual game with exploration, collectibles and hunting.

A game created by two friends, inspired by games like Shelter with a goal to achieve our first game release. This game is about a life of an animal that is not often shown in games too often. A lizard, a mix of several inspirations from various species, mainly a monitor lizard. Additionally, it portrays the parenting aspect of the struggle of preparing your children to survive on their own.

With the soundtrack composed and made by talented Charbel Ghanem.

Game Start

Weaving between rocks, scrambling through the grass. The bird is a danger to you and you are food to it, the rock next to you talon marked. You reach the cave, the bird hisses and flies away. In the cave, you stay, soundless and motionless. The night turns to a day, you leave, yearning for food yourself. Once outside, with the illusion of safety, the vulture has played a trick. It waited too. A chase resumed, only one direction valid, away. Too slow, too close, yet far enough. Bird strike makes you get air, and fall, into the canyon.

Raise your children

Lay eggs and start your own family, have them follow you everywhere, and guide them to food, and away from danger as they grow and help secure their future in the most vulnerable part of their life.

Hunt and eat

Look for prey, and hunt it down. One moment prey is everywhere and food is plentiful, another moment prey is nowhere, and your kids are starving.

Evolve

You cannot escape the canyon, but maybe your children can. Hunt your prey to gain evolution points, and raise your children to change yourself and your family. Be faster, be stronger, run longer, stop surviving, and start to thrive.

Dangers

You are not an apex predator. There are other predators, not just prey. The vultures will happily see your children as food if you give them a chance to. Avoid predators for you are no match for them.
