What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The goal with Pixacrea Island's Early Access to is to provide our community the ability to help build and develop the game prior to launch by getting it early, and allowing them to voice their concerns, features they'd like to see, and what we should focus on when it comes to the main features of the game. Early access is also a great way to work on the game, release larger features and get instant feedback from those wishing to help provide feedback to guide the game to it's finished form.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I do not have a current target date, however if I had to choose I'd say 2-3 years. I am a solo developer who will be working on this as his full time job so I believe I can get enough done in a timely manner to release frequent updates, changes, etc. however the game I envision making should take around 2-3 years in more realistic standards.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to have the full version of the game have every single feature not just added, but fully polished, as well as having all goals set for the game. Early access will be planned to be built in stages, and each stage will be planned to have several releases in it. Upon the full version, we plan to have the entire game be finished, and the only updates post full version will be updates for any bugs we may or may not have, as well as the possibility of small item updates to the game/holiday events. The goals for Early Access will be Pre-Alpha up to 1.0, upon the 1.0 release we will officially be in the Alpha release, then Beta, and finally the finished product.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current stage of the Early Access is Pre-Alpha, the game-play is enough to showcase the overall features/bones of the game. The core features are there, they are not fully fleshed out/polished, and is being worked on that towards the Alpha update. The current features we have are: Farming, Woodcutting, Crafting, Building, Mining, Roaming Pixacrea, and some of the main story are in the game currently.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. Pre-Alpha will be significantly cheaper than the release, Alpha will go up to from the Pre-Alpha, Beta will be even higher, while staying cheaper than the full release, and the full game will launch as at the highest price. So for those who are wanting to, and are willing to help us out during the most important parts of game development we wish to reward you in several ways, and one of the ways is allowing the product to be cheaper than on launch!”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We will be extremely active on our Guilded Server, having polls on what features you all would like to see first, a forum section in which you can provide valuable feedback, constructive criticism, as well as just anger posts if something happens that truly grinds your gears. We will be looking at all of these to see what should be focused on first. The community will be one of the largest parts of the developing the game as we want the community to shape the features we have in the game, as well as what we prioritize in the development of the game as a whole.”

About This Game

Ever wanted to relax and play a Monster Taming / Creature Collecting game? Collect resources, build an island, move in guests and begin to craft household items? Sit down, and begin to relax with Pixacrea Island! As a new scientist you are tasked with helping in the discovery of a brand new island that has never been touched by mankind. Your goal is simple, collect as many Pixacrea from the island as you can for research, and begin to build the island to help aid you in the research. Choose your starting Pixacrea, and battle each Pixacrea you face to capture it's shard in the name of science, design parts of the island however you'd like, customize your character with unique skins to choose from, as well as craft, build, and buy items for your home!

We mentioned skins, and purchasable items, but there are ABSOLUTELY ZERO MTX in Pixacrea Island. None, Zip, Natta, every item, ever skin, every thing in the game will all be purchasable using in game currency, through achievements, quests, and crafting! Sorry to those who live to swipe your CCs, you can buy our physical TCG if you'd like to give us your money, but hiding in game content behind a physical paywall is something that shouldn't be justifiable in video games.

Pixacrea Island is all about relaxation, calming gameplay, and most of all, enjoying the game how you wish to enjoy it. With that in mind, we start the game off allowing you to decide what you'd like to have enabled in your gameplay. Not a fan of Monster Taming / Creature Collecting turn based battles? Remove them for your game. Does our time system stress you out? Shut er' down. Though with the time system, it will be there, however the new day will not progress until YOU decide when you'd like to sleep.

- Slitha

Pixacrea Island is a relaxing social & life simulator in which you do what you wish to do. The game progresses at your pace, and doesn't force you to progress until you are ready. If you want to build up your farm before progressing the story with those moving into the island you can, if you wish to keep your entire island in tents until you have everything set up exactly how you want, that is on you. We give you the tools to play the game how you wish to play it.

- Skeptishell

Pixacrea Island offers a lot of gameplay options for you to choose to do or to do them all, it is all up to you. Upon defeating a Pixacrea you collect their shards, with their shards you can turn them into the Science Lab so they can find differences in how not interacting with humans effects the Pixacrea, you can put them in your farm area to work such as gathering logs, mining ore, producing products for cooking, and so much more!

The game is very serious, and absolutely has ZERO references to anything else, nor does it have any Easter Eggs, whatsoever.
