The game features two main playable characters: Alexandre Leblanc, a wealthy teenage boy grieving the loss of his mother, and Ramala Fifaliana, a Malagasy girl whom Alexandre encounters during his search to find the entrance to Hiboka, the spirit underworld of Malagasy folklore.
