Robert Beresford lived happily in his family mansion, alongside his daughters Elizabeth, Charlotte, Anne, Matilda, and Victoria, the butler Zachary, and the housekeeper Theresa. His businesses were thriving, and peace and joy filled the house.

However, the night of July 20, 1824, everything changed for the Beresford family.

Robert woke from his sleep, restless and fearful of a looming sense of dread.

In the stillness of the night, beneath the shimmering stars, footsteps echoed through the corridors, voices and whispers in the darkness, followed by bursts of fire and screams of agony. Robert rushed out of his room, determined to discover what had shattered the peace of his tranquil family mansion, but his soul was not prepared for all he would encounter on that tragic night.
