Year 2222.

Environmental destruction has connected the seas and lakes, collapsing freshwater ecosystems.

Mysterious particles raining down into the water trigger sudden mutations, giving rise to aggressive invasive species.

Lake Akan is no exception. Native lifeforms are devoured, and the marimo are pushed to the brink of extinction.

…But then, a single mutated marimo awakens.

Wielding a new power to control oxygen through photosynthesis, the tiny sphere rises to fight back against the invaders.

To protect its friends, it begins to roll into battle…
