Chemical plants, weather modification systems, and atmospheric processors failed simultaneously, creating a cascade of poisonous air that transformed the world forever. Now, some humans have evolved to breathe the toxic atmosphere, becoming the fearsome Ashborn—and they're hunting the survivors.
