Why Early Access?

“ATMOSFAR is an ambitious title comprised of several exciting gameplay elements ranging from an aerial world of floating islands, flying crafts of varying type and the Cloud Cruiser, a massive fully base buildable flying airship. We’re looking for early feedback from players on how to perfect these mechanics, and because of that feedback players will have an opportunity to help guide the creative path of ATMOSFAR and leave their mark.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“ATMOSFAR will remain in Early Access for at least 9 months, however this period could be extended with more added content if enough Vagabonds join us on the flight.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“ATMOSFAR will across several major Early Access updates see additions of more islands across the third and final region, The Rime, more gameplay elements, the addition of the Scout Wasp, significantly expanded base building for the Cloud Cruiser as well as an ending to the story of ATMOSFAR.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“ATMOSFAR can at its point of Early Access release be enjoyed across two distinct regions of floating islands with multiple biomes, gameplay mechanics, objectives, three Wasps and a fully-fledged Cloud Cruiser. ATMOSFAR supports both single and multiplayer and we aim to persist your saves across the entire Early Access period. For more detailed information on all gameplay features available at EA release, please see the "About This Game" section on the main store page.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, there will be a slight price increase before the game releases into its full version.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“As developers we have a long history of Early Access development, and we truly believe that there is no better source of honest feedback than the Vagabonds who make the leap to spend time with the game. Community members can involve themselves across multiple ATMOSFAR communities through which we’ll listen to player feedback, ideas, suggestions and of course bug reports. There will, and already has been, opportunities for players to make lasting contributions to the world of ATMOSFAR through asset contests, name ideation and more.”

About This Game

Uncover the fate of humanity’s final outpost as you survive and explore a thrilling world of floating islands and soaring beasts. Brave the skies on your own or assemble a squadron of your friends as you scavenge scrap to engineer and upgrade flying vessels while bringing your airbase along for the journey.

An open world

Travel through an open world of floating islands and aerial wonders. Discover how its airborne circumstances has shaped the creatures and biomes inhabiting it as you level up your piloting skills while navigating the skies.

The Wasp

The Wasp is an agile vessel that can both zip through the sky and hover in place. Constructed in four different classes, each type of Wasp has its own set of unique appearance, abilities and aerodynamics.

Deploy a foldable camp with the Utility Wasp, airlift heavy scrap with the Cargo Wasp or stun your enemies with the Striker Wasp; it's all about bringing the right Wasp for the job.

The Cloud Cruiser

The Cloud Cruiser is a large and heavy mobile airbase capable of housing everything important to you. Bring your Wasps and the fuel they need with you in the hangar section, furnish the lounge area to your preference and pilot the Cruiser yourself from the helm.

Multiplayer co-op

You don't need to venture into ATMOSFAR alone! Up to four players can camp out, hitch a ride on a friend's Wasp or fly in formation. Cooperate on the management and building of your collective Cloud Cruiser and experience the odyssey together.

Extract scrap

Live off the land by extracting scrap you find in nature. Convert old heaps of junk into individual parts that can be used again for new items.

Construct something new

Upgrade and expand your arsenal of items and equipment. Manufacture fuel and other consumables and, with the right artifacts, upgrade parts and sections for your flying vessels.

Make it your own

Swap out engine parts, hover sections or entire hulls to get your preferred configuration: Add paint jobs to make your Wasp looking its best.

Make your Cloud Crusier your own mobile home and upgrade its various sections to better support your more demanding expeditions.

Manage resources

Keep an eye on your resources to avoid awkward situations! Your backpack houses a life support system powering both you and your tools with vital needs.

The Wasps you rely on also rely on you: Make sure that they are fueled, well maintained and repaired when needed so that you're always ready to go when things get dire.

Flora and fauna

Orient yourself on a new home planet and investigate its alien characteristics. Discover a wealth of strange plants, explore lush biomes and observe looming alien creatures.

Whether the weather

Take cover when day turns to night or when calm weather and winds grow unfavorable. From howling jet streams to thunderous rainstorms, the treacherous weather of planet Tycos will require you to excel your piloting as you're traversing the skies.
