About This Game

Welcome to Constelleum, the team vs team cosmic fantasy card battler. Pick from characters with distinct styles and mechanics. Play cards to move pawns, disrupt opponents, summon companions, and more. Coordinate with your teammates to drive points to the opposing goal and claim victory.

Constelleum captures the multiplayer team vs team arena battle experience while leveraging cards and a tactical, turn-based structure to eliminate the necessity of high physical requirements to be competitive. Designers took inspiration from tabletop games like Gloomhaven and video games like Pokemon Unite to create an experience both familiar and fresh. Driven by the primary design tenet of accessibility, Constelleum is being built to be available to everyone who wants to play.

In 2019, a team member's carpal tunnel became serious enough to prevent playing most video games. The entire team have long enjoyed competitive video games with asymmetric character pools such as Overwatch, Super Smash Bros, and Dota. After searching for alternatives with fewer physical demands, the team were dissatisfied with the options. Work on Constelleum began.

How to Find a Game

• Select Quick Play from the start menu. After 6 players have joined the queue, a game will immediately begin.
  
• Select Start or Join Lobby from the start menu. Create a new lobby or join an existing lobby. Settings to change the lobby are available to the lobby owner.

  How to Play

  Setup:
  
  • Take turns drafting characters
    
  • Select from previously constructed 9 card decks (deck builder available from the start menu)
    
  • Pick a starting location
  
  Rounds:
  
  • Choose a card to play
    
  • Take turns based on card initiative, from lowest to highest
    
  • Perform the actions listed on the played card in order
    
  • Score points by defeating opponent characters or maneuvering orbs into goals
  
  After the final round, the team that has scored the most points is declared the victor of the Constelleum.
