About This Game

Loggerhead drags you kicking and screaming into a 1980s outback nightmare: Fixed camera angles, tank controls and puzzles that'll fry your synapses, while you try to manage your limited inventory space with what scarce resources you find.

Loggerhead is your ticket back to old school survival horror glory, but cranked up with Aussie flair: Shambling zombie-ghouls with decaying mullets, flannel and double-pluggers are lurking around every corner, swooping magpies and demonic kangaroos are attacking from every angle and a relentless stalker is shadowing your every move through a fog-shrouded campsite.

Welcome to Boggarogga Creek: Where the beer’s warm, the ammo’s scarce and the dead just won’t stay bloody dead.

Crack a tinnie and grab your cricket bat: It's time to enter the Australian outback.

It’s 1986. A string of grisly murders and missing campers rocks remote Boggarogga Creek, whispers of ancient curses buried in the red dirt. But even the government's barbed-wire shutdown can't keep the bogan anglers at bay.

When Darryl and Tracey arrive seeking a boozy weekend escape with some mates, they find there is more than just running out of durries to worry about.

Now, undead loggers rise from watery graves, mutant marsupials attack from every angle, a hulking shadow tails your every step and the outback itself hungers. Uncover the creek's deep and dark secrets across a fog-veiled campsite, explore a classic Aussie pub, crumbling church, derelict cabins, a fisherman's shack of terror and what horror lies below in the depths of the pitch-black tunnels.

Play as the dreamboat-ish larrikin Darryl (Dazza) or Tracey (Trace), a sharp-witted sheila. Unlock a branching labyrinth of horrors and gut-punch endings. Will you outrun the Loggerheads... or join them in the eternal darkness of the past?

“The bush will eat you alive, mate.”

  • Purist survival horror meets creature comforts: Fixed cameras, tank controls and VHS aesthetics with additional options such as alternate modern third person controls and difficulty settings

  • Retro nightmare fuel: ‘80s vistas of outback terror. Explore a web of locations from an iconic Australian pub to echoing church crypts, scavenging clues amid the eucalyptus haze

  • Aussie undead onslaught: Confront reanimated loggers, ’80s-era zombies (adorned in tragic 80's fashion) and mutated critters like kangaroos that lunge with bone-crushing force and magpies that tear flesh in frenzied dives

  • Resource roulette: Every bullet, every beer, every swing of the cricket bat counts. Ammo and aids are as rare as a polite drop bear. Hoard wisely or face a grisly end, with that classic retro tension cranked to eleven

  • Beware the stalker: A hulking, nemesis-grade brute that stalks your every move, turning the campsite into a predator's playground

  • Puzzle hell: Piece together folklore artefacts, crack rusted locks and decode graffitied warnings to unearth the curse's rotten core

  • Heroic duality: Choose Dazza's rough-as-guts brawling or Trace's crafty escapes for varied playthroughs and endings that swing from triumphant to tragically twisted

"Wishlisted? Mate, you're halfway to surviving Boggarogga. Grab the prologue demo, add the game to your wishlist and join the queue before the Loggerheads log in."
