為何採用搶先體驗模式？

「I did not start this project from a money-making standpoint. I started this project because I wanted to make a good game. I have always loved the art of story-telling and I wanted to make something that echoed a salute to the JRPG games I played as a kid. That being said, I have no idea who my target audience is. I figured this was a good way, combined with some analytics, to see who else out there likes what I've got going on here. If I can find them, then the next step is to hear what they've got to say. It would be really cool to gather some feedback to help direct further development.」

這款遊戲的搶先體驗時間大約會持續多久？

「This game was originally going to be in Early Access for about 1 year. However, that year was dedicated to a complete and total re-development of the game. So expect up to 1 more year of Early Access just to be safe. This project is almost complete but there is no need to get sloppy and rush things.」

正式版預計會與搶先體驗版有何不同？

「The ending is not available in Early Access. If a player plays up to the final areas of the game, it will technically be playable but the game will begin to unravel until the player can no longer progress. Some of the maps are still under reconstruction as well. This is done on purpose so that players that help in development by testing Early Access aren't robbed of a new game experience at launch.

Repeat Play

• Inspired by the spirit of an old and dog-eared "choose-your-own-adventure" fantasy paperback I had as a kid. Repeatability as part of the core design means unlocking features like a difficulty slider, challenge modes, and a new game plus. It also means that your choices have a permanent impact on a dynamic narrative.

Random Fate Mode

• You can start a game where all chooseable choices (as in from a list like yes-no-maybe) are automatically chosen at random. Your character's skills are also learned in a wildcard style where you choose from 1 of 3 random skills every time a character would learn a new skill.

New Game Plus Mode

• You can use a save file that has beaten the game to create a new game where you start all over from the beginning, with a fresh storyline, but you keep all the skills, items, gold, and equipment from when you beat the game before.

搶先體驗版目前的開發進度如何？

「In it's current state, the Early Access version of Neverspring Chronicles is approx. the first 10+ hours of the game. It has been rigorously bug tested but as always, if you happen to find a bug please report it. Just keep in mind that some maps, scenes, and elements may be different in the final release. Player feedback has been and will continue to be taken into consideration during development.」

遊戲售價在搶先體驗期間前後會有所變動嗎？

「Yes, there will be a price difference between Early Access and Release. The first price increase happened along with the Phoenix Down re-development update. There will be one final price increase at official launch. This is done as a "thank you" to those that support this project along the way.」

在開發過程中，您打算如何與社群互動？

「I am hoping to utilize the Steam community page for Neverspring Chronicles to process feedback. I would love to hear from players to help direct further development. Interaction through forum polls, posts, and other engagements not just about the Early Access version but about JRPG experiences in general will be a good way to forge a great game that fellow players can enjoy.」
