Why Early Access?

“We want to develop the ultimate VR spell game and for this we need to dream big. We are adding many cutting edge features to Magitek from our physics based magic system to our open world and to make this a reality we need your help. With player feedback we can explore the development process together and determine what is needed to make the best VR game possible.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We are expecting early access to last about 1 year. But we have a vision for his game and to us the most important thing is getting the game finished with all the features we want. So it might take a little longer.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Features planned in the full version include:

• Magic for all four elements; fire, air, earth and water. At least 6 unique spells for each element.
  
• Magic combination spells for each element paring, eg. fire + earth = lava
  
• Open world with more islands that can be discovered
  
• Arena mode - fight endless waves of enemies in an arcade style arena
  
• Sandbox with a level editor
  
• New enemy types and Enhanced AI
  
• New weapons and items
  
• Land, sea and air vehicles

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version will give you a taste of the core features and includes chapter one of the open world with access to fire and air magic.

Other features:

• Physics driven magic and interactions
  
• Chapter 1 of story mode where you will explore the tropical beaches of Ignis Isle
  
• Fire and air magic, with a total of 10 unique spells
  
• A selection of Weapons from archery to sword and shields
  
• 4 enemy types

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The final game price will increase as new features are added. We are aiming to keep the price reasonable and in line without VR games in the market. Early access will be set at a cheaper price as a way to say thank you for your early support.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“In our eyes feedback and input from the community is critical to the success of this project. We will be asking you for constant ideas on spells, enemies, game modes and much more.
Then using Discord, Steam and Reddit we will gather feedback and then use that feedback to make regular updates to the game.”
