Why Early Access?

“We've decided on Early Access because the game is fun, enjoyable, and engaging in its current state. It offers a unique challenge to the player and a good deal of replayability. We also know that we need more time to add all the content we have planned for Beneath the Mountain.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We have included (in the current build), a road-map of our future content. By our estimation, we have another 8 to 10 months of content to add to the game.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version would have most of the same systems as the current Early Access version, but with tons more content. We've got tons of new buildings, units, and talents planned, as well as some cool new systems such as world-map trading and challenge-modes. Also, we have big plans for Steam integration in regards to achievements and leaderboards.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current Early Access version of Beneath the Mountain has all of the major systems that are core to the game, and a good deal of content. Between the number of units, tech, and talents we currently offer, there are lots of ways to win and enjoy the game. The game has been polished, and optimized, and should perform well.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No, the price for the final version will be the same as the current price.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The community has already been core to the development cycle for close to a year already. They've been absolutely instrumental in regards to identifying and fixing bugs, as well as helping us come up with new ideas and creative solutions to challenges. This is likely to remain the same throughout the remainder of development. Beneath the Mountain is proud to be community driven.”
