Varför Early Access?

We chose to release Subspace Discovery into Early Access because we want you, the player, to be involved in the development process. Your voice counts, and we want to make sure the game is made for you. Early Access allows us to test game mechanics and server technology with a larger player base and gather valuable feedback from our community.

Since the initial Early Access launch, many new features have been added and existing systems have been improved. Development is ongoing, and at least one more major update is planned before the full release.”

Ungefär hur länge kommer det här spelet att vara i Early Access?

“We currently expect Subspace Discovery to remain in Early Access until early 2026. However, based on development progress and player feedback, we may adjust the timeline to ensure the best possible experience. This estimate will be updated if needed.”

“The full version is planned to be a more complete, polished, and content-rich experience. While Subspace Discovery already offers a fully playable foundation, the game will continue to evolve during Early Access and after release, with ongoing improvements, expansions, and refinements planned over the months and years to come.”

Hur är det nuvarande läget i versionen med Early Access?

“The current state of Subspace Discovery is fully playable, with most major systems already implemented. This includes, but is not limited to: Exploration, Combat, Mining, Research, Custom Ships, Bases, Corporations, and World Events.

While the game is already playable end to end, many systems are still being refined and expanded. Subspace Discovery has been in development since 2018 and uses a custom engine and custom servers. The engine is designed for nearly zero loading times, without traditional loading screens. Everything is optimized to run fast while keeping memory and disk usage low.”

Kommer spelet att prissättas annorlunda under och efter Early Access?

“Monetization for Subspace Discovery has been finalized for launch. The game offers two permanent optional packages, Subspace Pioneer and Subspace Captain, which provide additional convenience features.

There are no plans for subscriptions, premium currency, or advertisements, and pricing is not planned to change during or after Early Access.”

Hur planerar ni att involvera gemenskapen i er utvecklingsprocess?

“We want to involve our players and community throughout the development process. Feedback can be shared through Steam Discussions, Discord, and the in-game ticket system. These channels allow us to communicate directly with players and gather valuable input.

We actively encourage bug reports, suggestions, and discussions, as they help guide improvements and priorities as development continues.”
