We chose to release Subspace Discovery into Early Access because we want you, the player, to be involved in the development process. Your voice counts, and we want to make sure the game is made for you. Early Access allows us to test game mechanics and server technology with a larger player base and gather valuable feedback from our community.

Since the initial Early Access launch, many new features have been added and existing systems have been improved. Development is ongoing, and at least one more major update is planned before the full release.'

While the game is already playable end to end, many systems are still being refined and expanded. Subspace Discovery has been in development since 2018 and uses a custom engine and custom servers. The engine is designed for nearly zero loading times, without traditional loading screens. Everything is optimized to run fast while keeping memory and disk usage low.'

'Monetization for Subspace Discovery has been finalized for launch. The game offers two permanent optional packages, Subspace Pioneer and Subspace Captain, which provide additional convenience features.
