Why Early Access?

“Although the game is not anywhere close to finished according to our vision, it's already more than fun enough for a demo, so we want to share it with everyone as soon as we're able.

By releasing early, we can get feedback on what direction to take it: do you want more complexity, more piece types, or is it really all about multiplayer, or lots and lots of levels?”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect a full release in the first half of 2022.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Most important for us, we want to add multiplayer soon (before the end of Early Access, so we can get feedback on that as well).

Also (and before multiplayer), we want to have non-VR support, using mouse and keyboard, and later gamepad. While we think it's more fun in VR and recommend playing it that way, supporting non-VR means more friends can play it with you when multiplayer lands.

Then, we plan to add more boards, both for single and multiplayer.

Finally, general polish to make the off-game experience more fluid.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The initial Early Access release is essentially a demo of the gameplay mechanics; it corresponds to what we envision as the tutorial of the full game.

There is no multiplayer yet, and there are only 6 single-player levels (the ones used in the tutorial).

All the planned mechanics are there, though. While it's not out of the question that we change our minds and introduce additional mechanics later, for now the plan is to stick with this ‘simple and elegant’ rule set.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“As it currently stands, we plan to keep this game free. But if development circumstances change, we may end up putting a (small) price tag on it.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We'll listen to feedback and watch out for videos and streams, to help us identify where to improve, what are the favorite features, metas, etc.”
