Varför Early Access?

“For a large system-driven game like Lightyear Frontier community involvement is a must, and we want to get our game into the hands of our players as early as possible. While we have a long-term plan for the game, community feedback will help us prioritize and iterate on the game’s features until the gameplay is just right.”

Ungefär hur länge kommer det här spelet att vara i Early Access?

“Our current plan is to spend about a year and a half in Early Access, but we also embrace the fact that plans can and will change the moment we start getting feedback. Our primary goal is to keep the updates coming at a steady pace and reach full release once we feel the game is ready.”

Hur är det tänkt att den fullständiga versionen ska skilja sig från versionen i Early Access?

“The Early Access version represents only a portion of the full game. The full game will feature several new environments, plants, resources, animals, and hazards, as well as several new upgrade tiers, and modules for the mech. The game’s story will also expand during Early Access, with only the beginning of the first act available initially. Furthermore, additional neighbors and missions will be added over the course of Early Access.”

Hur är det nuvarande läget i versionen med Early Access?

“At this time, the core features of the game are present and playable, with an initial zone for players to explore and build their homesteads in. As we progress through development, we'll be actively working with the community to improve features, as well as adding new content and zones along the way.”

Kommer spelet att prissättas annorlunda under och efter Early Access?

“As the game will vastly increase in content over the course of Early Access, the full release will come with an increase in price. However, we will clearly communicate the specifics of the price change well ahead of release to give players the opportunity to purchase before it happens.”

Hur planerar ni att involvera gemenskapen i er utvecklingsprocess?

“Our main form of communication will be via our Discord and we will collect feedback from our players via the in-game feedback tool. Players are able to discuss and vote on features in a dedicated Discord channel to send them directly into our project management system.
We will post regular updates on our website where we will also keep an updated roadmap.”
