“There will be a lot of rewarding content for players to enjoy, that can bring in valuable feedback and allow us to balance the many management aspects of the game, among other things.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We approximate 12-18 months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version will include a main storyline and side stories, where as the Early Access version will have a few story missions to introduce the player to the mechanics and lore. Procedurally generated delivery missions, growing and managing your company and crew, building your reputation and relationships with contacts and factions, among other things will be in the Early Access version. The full game will also receive more content for the open world, more activities and events, as well as more unique conditions on planets and moons.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game launches in Early Access with all the core mechanics, gameplay features and fully open and seamless solar system, that will be in the full game as well.

That includes but is not limited to:
  • Building and growing your own delivery company, climb the company rankings
  • Captaining your own freighter ship
  • Hiring, firing and managing your own crew
  • Seamless open solar system full of activities and interaction
  • Seamless landing on planets/moons/asteroids from space
  • Character and ship creator
  • Shops and bars
  • Physics based spaceship flight mechanics and jetpack flight
  • Dogfighting and on-foot gunplay with unique sci-fi weapons and gadgets
  • Procedurally generated missions
  • Handling things onboard your freighter as you travel (repairs, malfunctions, crazy passengers, etc. includes mini-games)
  • Delivery mechanics (package handling, inventories, etc.)
  • Reputation, karma and relationship progression
  • A simulated economy and stock market - speculate on other traders and their actions, affecting your own stock price

“The price of the full game will increase slightly, as the main and side storylines are fully implemented, but only when it's in a stage where we feel the quality justifies it.”

About This Game

Worlds Of The Future is a futuristic open world, 3rd person single player, action/adventure game. The game is set in a bright, vibrant and fun version of our solar system in the year 2500. Explore a fully seamless solar system full of adventures, mysteries and colorful characters. Build your space delivery company from the ground up, climb the solar system company rankings and become a legend among the worlds!

Objective

Start and grow your new space delivery company by completing deliveries and tasks for various companies around the solar system. Expand your company by hiring, managing and commanding your own crew onboard your very own freighter ship. Fly out in your shuttlecraft to land on planets, space stations and more to explore, complete tasks and deliver packages to your customers.


Gameplay

Go on awesome adventures exploring a huge, fully seamless solar system. Fly through space, into a planet's atmosphere and walk on its surface, all without any loading screens. Explore huge futuristic cities, shoot up space pirates and alien enemies, chill in a bar after a long day of deliveries, and much more in the open solar system.


Story & Progression

Explore the solar system, full of exciting mysteries and stories, meet colorful characters, and make friends and enemies as you ascend the ranks to solar system legend status! Choose your own path: Will you abide by the law, or break it? Every mission choice and success influences how factions, and the law, respond to you. Build your reputation and relationships with factions and contacts you meet throughout your journey.


World

Worlds Of The Future is heavily inspired by Futurama and Star Trek. We take a lot of inspiration from the bright futuristic worlds both shows created. Making the world immersive and feel like an existing place that the player can feel a part of, is a big focus for us. That means having in-world companies & brands, prolific characters, unique locations & landmarks and more - Be a part of this world by making a name for yourself!
