Why Early Access?

“For Striving for Light we want to give player feedback a prime importance directly from the beginning of the development process. The infinite random generated skill tree as well as the random world generation are core systems of the game experience, providing you a sandbox with endless replayability in the style you like. Player feedback from the experimentation with new skills and weapon combinations as well as with the world designs will give us the needed data to make this game the best experience it can be.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Striving for Light will be in early access for at least one year. Depending on user feedback and the amount of content we choose to include into the game this period might be extended. There will be regular updates until its full release.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“During Early Access we will focus on implementing more content, including more enemies and bosses, more environments, more weapons, more skills and intensify the atmosphere by adding story content. There will also be a progression and an endgame system in the full release of the game.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“In the current state of the game the core mechanics are implemented. Next to the combat and resource system the infinite random generated skill system is implemented with a variety of core skills. The random world generation with a variety of different environment, enemies and boss encounters is implemented giving you already plenty of replayability.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price will increase during Early Access according to the development process and will increase when the game is feature complete and leaves Early Access.”
