Coming Soon To Early Access

The developers of this game intend to release as a work in progress, developing with the feedback of players.

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The goal of Early Access is to keep developing On The Wire (OTW) while collecting feedback from players.
We aim to release new content monthly — or at least every two months — depending on development progress.

OTW (also known as SLF, for Sur Le Fil) is a massive and ambitious educational adventure where players can both learn and have fun.
Electricity, physics, programming, mechanics, history — everything is mixed into a playful and immersive world.

At this stage, the project is mainly developed by a single person, with help from a freelance artist for graphics and music.
Your feedback and support are essential to help the project grow and reach its full potential.

You can now test the latest Web version of the game — smoother, updated, and accessible from any browser — directly at:

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“SLF Reborn is still under active development. The current version focuses on foundational learning (primary school level), with interactive missions in math, electricity, and science experiments.
Early Access lets players explore the first modules, give feedback, and help refine the experience before scaling up.
The goal is to quickly expand into middle and high school levels, covering more topics like geometry, computer science, and mechanics.
There’s no fixed release date yet, but regular updates will continue until a full stable version is ready.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The final version of SLF Reborn will offer a much richer, more structured, and complete experience.
Early Access focuses on foundational learning (primary school level), but many features are planned:

Dozens of new interactive levels in math, electricity, mechanics, and computer science

A 3D geometry simulator with virtual compass, ruler, and protractor

A dedicated hall for the history of science, with immersive time-travel missions

More advanced electronic components (transistors, relays, integrated circuits)

A full save system (progress, settings, circuits)

Improved user interface and polished graphics

Evaluation tools like automatically generated exercise reports

Special "Kelhann World" missions for more open and narrative adventures

All these additions will depend on player feedback and community interest.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version of SLF Reborn includes 26 playable levels across multiple disciplines.
It covers the basics of electricity (DC, simple circuits), basic chemistry (experiments with copper, zinc, and brine), and essential math concepts (arithmetic, analog clocks, etc.).

The player explores and uses real components:
resistors, light bulbs, wires, capacitors, generators—with real-time current visualization.
A full simulator allows free circuit building.

Also included:

interactive lessons led by ProfFil,

self-assessments with printable corrections,

a historical mission set in 1800,

a MathAttack mode to make learning fun.

Everything is functional and can be played directly via WebGL or locally.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“SLF is completely free, both now and in the future.
However, as the project grows, we plan to introduce a voluntary support option.
Any contribution will help fund artists, developers, and educators to expand the game.
No content will ever be locked behind a paywall.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Player feedback is key to SLF’s evolution.
We’ll provide an in-game feedback system and a dedicated server to share ideas, bugs, and suggestions.
Every voice matters.”
