Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The full release is scheduled for the end of 2022. At the end of the day, Sweet Transit will stay in early access until it is good enough.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is planned to have the following:

  • More farms, factories, city buildings, decorations
  • More advanced factory building
  • More wagons and goods
  • Total of three people types
  • New biomes with their own challenges, fertility
  • Iterate on terrain generation and immersion
  • Improve upon city building, managing and interactions
  • Lots of improvements on the main loop, UI, quality of life

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Currently, Sweet Transit offers full early game and some of the mid-game experiences. The main loop is ready for feedback and improvement. Expansion, production and logistics are equally ready. Players can build villages, expand them to cities, construct production chains, play with train navigation, do rail signaling, control the supply and demand.

There is also modding support for adding new content or changing the existing one, including trains, structures, production, terrain generation, localization, progression and some technical, graphical aspects.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price is not planned to change.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Players will be able to get in touch through Discord or Steam community hub. Everyone is welcome to ask questions, constructively criticize, suggest new features and raise bugs. There will also be an experimental branch to encourage feedback before new features are stable enough.”

About This Game

Sweet Transit takes place in a strange world wherein trains dominate the transportation industry. However, some radical citizens begin calling for cars and other more "inefficient" innovations. You play the head of government-financed settlers and are tasked with proving once and for all that trains are the final stage in the evolution of transport. You must thereby build a self-sufficient colony with trains as the only means of transportation.

Start with only one warehouse and connection to the outside world. Build a village that will later grow into a sprawling city. Fulfill inhabitant needs so they in turn happily pay taxes and prepare to work. Employ that workforce within farms and factories to keep up with the demand for goods and services. And most importantly, build smart rail networks to support your ever-expanding colony.
