About This Game

Virtualord is a "Turn Based Strategy" game with "Tower Defense" and "Role Playing Game" elements.

In this game you set up your base, gather resources, set up a production chain and build a defensive perimeter with walls and towers to protect your territory from incoming enemies. It's also important to invest resources in technological research, as that will give you an edge over your enemy.

Once your base is well established, it's time to gather your forces and to send your army to annihilate your enemies.

Conquer new territories, whole planets and even the galaxy if you're good enough!

GAME MECHANICS

BUILD YOUR BASE

Expand your base with many different structures that offer various functionalities and that let you to create production chains.

GATHER RESOURCES

To mine basic resources you need to conquer generators with your units and then to connect them to a network of cells linked to your base.

Other resources can be collected by your units or produced by some of your structures.

SET UP DEFENSES

You can create walls and defensive towers to protect your base and your resources. You can also upgrade and improve them to increase your chance of survival.

RESEARCH NEW TECHNOLOGY

Spend resources in research and development to unlock new units, structures and many upgrades that will make your base and your army stronger.

PREPARE AN ARMY

You can create various types of units with your structures. Some of them will also generate mini-units, which you do not control directly, but that will support your campaign on their own. 

DESTROY YOUR ENEMY

Control directly your units into battle or send your mini-units to do the job for you. You can also mix the 2 strategies in any way you prefer.

FACTIONS

These are 3 main factions in the Virtualord universe:

• Zulox: Trained warriors and expert weapon makers. They hate the Domens.

• Domens: Masters of engineering and science. Long time enemies of the Zulox.

• Alphen: Great explorers and very versatile. They have never fought other factions until now.

Rumors of a fourth faction started to spread around the universe in recent years, but they are not confirmed by any evidence yet.

DEVELOPMENT STATUS

Virtualord is currently in alpha stage, which means not all features are finished and many design and graphic elements are not final yet.

A first public demo is planned for August 2026, in the meanwhile the development is following this roadmap:
