About This Game

Virtualord is a Turn Based Strategy game with TD and RPG elements.

In this game you set up your base, gather resources and build a defensive perimeter with walls and towers to protect your territory from incoming enemies. Then you gather your forces and send your units and mini-units to annihilate your enemies to conquer whole planets.

Current status

Virtualord is currently in alpha stage, which means not all features are finished and many design and graphic elements are not final yet.

The development is following the roadmap below: 

Even if the game is not finished yet, it is possible to try new builds every month by joining our Discord server (you can find an invite in the links section of this page).

Game mechanics

These are some of the main game mechanics you will play:

Set up defenses

You can create perimeter walls and defensive towers to protect your base and your resources. Then upgrade and improve them to increase your chance of survival.

Mine resources

To mine basic resources in Virtualord you need to take control of generators with your units and then you need to connect them to the network of cells linked to your base.

Explore new worlds

Every map is constantly covered by Fog Of War and you need to explore with your units and to expand your territory to find out what's hiding in the dark.

Build and improve your base
Build new structures and conquer existing ones to expand your domain. The more you conquer, the more resources you get, but it also makes it harder to control and to defend your territory.

R&D

Research and develop new and better technologies to improve your structures and units, then use them to gain an edge on your enemies.

Grow your army

Create and upgrade your units with better weapons and special abilities to support your campaign efforts. Use mini-units to launch attacks on your enemy bases and to crush their forces.

Factions

These are 3 main factions in the Virtualord universe:

• Zulox: Trained warriors and expert weapon makers. They hate the Domens.

• Domens: Masters of engineering and science. Long time enemies of the Zulox.

• Alphen: Great explorers and very versatile. They have never fought other factions until now.

Rumors of a fourth faction started to spread around the universe in recent years, but they are not confirmed by any evidence yet.
