Paratroopers and Stormtroopers

Strap on your U.S. paratrooper or German Wehrmacht battle dress and get pumped for the adrenaline rush of 36-player PvP action in shell-torn towns and the ravaged battlegrounds of Europe. With purpose-built historical maps designed both for close-quarters action and team-based tactical finesse, this shooter offers a fine balance between playability, authenticity, and realism.

Focusing on the intensity of infantry action, WWII Online: Chokepoint sets a new standard for immersion. Our 3D voice system will make you feel like a real soldier on the Western Front. Not everyone has their own radio, so if you want to reach your teammate, way off in the flooded fields of La Fière, you're going to have to yell. But watch out, because if he can hear you, so can the enemy!

Make every shot count

With no HUD and only your eyes to help you in the foggy night of the Battle of Eglise, sometimes it might be hard to tell if you've hit your mark. Combined with our realistic damage model, your shots can do more than just kill! From shooting the weapon out of your opponent's hands to slowing down a retreating enemy by going for the legs, combat isn't just about hitting your target. But be careful, some shots may knock your enemies down, but there's no guarantee they're down for the count...

Immersion to the hilt

WWII Online: Chokepoint aims to provide all the ingredients for spectacular and memorable experiences. Feel the tension of parachuting into the unknown and the struggle to find your team. Take part in treacherous urban nighttime firefights to secure Sainte-Mère-Église. Experience the fear, chaos, and joy of capturing the crossing over the Merderet at La Fière. Lay down covering machine-gun fire and rally your friends to counter-attack Foy and its snowy, cold, and death-filled streets and alleys. Clear contested rooms with grenades and the staccato spray of submachine fire. We will make you feel like you were there—because you are there, right in the middle of it.

Classes & Factions

You will get to play as a member of one of the following:

• 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions on the U.S. side
  
• Wehrmacht and Fallschirmjäger Regiments on the Axis side.

Each team is split into four squads of four players, each having an NCO and three soldiers. You can choose from one of the following classes:

• NCO
  
• Rifleman
  
• Support Gunner
  
• MG
  
• Sniper
  
• Engineer

Collaboration & Teamwork

Teamwork is key in Chokepoint and each class comes with its own set of weapons that has unique strengths. Collaborate with your teammates and use your different loadouts to gain the advantage over the enemy.

• Have your NCO throw smoke grenades to stop that MG42 from mowing you down.
  
• Provide long-range cover fire with high-powered rifles.
  
• Use your immersive, animated 3D map to navigate the battlefield with your squad and check the status of objectives.
  
• Protect your squad's engineer on their way to destroy the enemy's Flak 88.
  
• Resupply your team's machine gunners with ammo to ensure they can provide continued cover fire.

Weapons

We want you to feel the visceral weight and recoil of using firearms as much as possible with audio-visual feedback. Combined with our minimal HUD approach, we feature three aim settings for all weapons:

• Hip: highly inaccurate but readily available
  
• Shoulder: accurate to clear out rooms and other confined spaces without compromising too much on your visibility and mobility
  
• Iron sights: highly accurate, long-distance firing mode

Level Editor and Steam Workshop

Let your vision come to life and create and release custom maps to thousands of players using the Steam Workshop. Though missing in the original release, with one of the future releases we are planning to release the level editor software to everyone for free.
