«With Tides of Tethys, our goal is to make this game for you!
Even though we have our own vision of the game, having this in the hands of players will allow us to focus on areas that matters the most to you, our players.»

Hvor lenge antas det at dette spillet vil være i tidlig tilgang?

«Our current goal is to be in Early Access for aproximately a year, but this will potentially be affected by revenue, as this will affect our scope.

Our main focus during this year will be on biome and gameplay variety as well as balance and polish, but we want to make room to add or tweak things that the community wants to see in the game, whether that's buildings, events, enemies, tools or cosmetics.»

Hvordan er det planlagt at fullversjonen skal være forskjellig fra versjonen i tidlig tilgang?

«For the full version, we plan to add more variety and locations per biome, more dangers in the world as well as more ways to deal with those dangers, be it with tools for your knights or buildings for your outposts.

We also are planning to add more ways to affect the world in the shape of events, local ( you find an object that gives you a choice and consequence/reward) or global ( Similar to our global tides/ lighting events).»

Hva er nåværende tilstand for versjonen i tidlig tilgang?

«Currently the Early access version has most core features there :
-Going on an expedition
-Randomized levels and events
-Building outposts
-Harvesting resources
-Finding and equipping gear
-Unlocking new ways to survive (Knight gear, and buildings for your outpost as well as perk cards and "Houses")
-Customizing Knights

The game currently has a fair amount of bugs and the perf varies. Overall we've seen a stable 30-60fps in most places but there are definitely improvements to be made. There can be scenarios when the stars align the wrong way and perf drops but we're hard at work fixing all that.

Balance overall still needs work and both enemies and economy are constantly being tweaked.

Combat is also at a rather early iteration, and definitely needs more depth (pun intended!)

We're planning on having 4 regions, but currently 2 regions are more solved than the others.»

«We will potentially raise the price closer to 1.0, and do want to reward early adopters with a more approachable price than what the game will be around 1.0, but we do want to keep the game at a fairly reasonable price point overall (We're not quadruple A, after all).»

We're making this game for you, our community, and Tides of Tethys is the perfect platform to add new mechanics, fun gear and ways to play.

We put a lot of work into our foundational systems just so that we could build the rest with the community in mind.

Tides of Tethys is an immersive underwater roguelite simulation game centered around exploring and surviving the uncharted depths of an alien world, while building and maintaining modular outposts.

Players will lead expeditions of Knights into the unknown, in the hopes of rebuilding their long lost kingdom and unifying the houses of Tethys once again.

As they dive further into the Abyss, they will discover compelling new places, uncover lost technologies, and conquer a variety of dangers that lurk beneath the surface.
