What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Stroll is still very early in its development. As a solo developer, getting the feedback, ideas and inputs from the players is crucial. I strongly believe in working with the community and improve the game together.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Given this is not a full-time project and that I work on it alone, it is hard to give an exact date. I aim to stay in Early Access for as short an amount of time as possible, though that may very well amount to years rather than months. Whilst developing I want to carefully listen to you, the players and iterate as we go. The list of new content and features is long and as with all projects, plans and schedules might shift. Should I be in need of additional time, I will make sure to tell the playerbase in advance.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Current featues:
  • Combat
  • Health and Stats
  • Level Selection
  • Events and Missions

Upcoming features:
  • Classes
  • World Map
  • Varied Enemies
  • Random Encounters
  • Crafting
  • Leveling
  • Base Building
and much more to come, as we iterate together.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current state of the game features a few levels for testing the core mechanics, such as combat and game feel. 1-4 player Local COOP and 4-player Local PVP is already available, with boss fights and (maybe?) base building being next in line.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Since there is still a full campaign and customizable content to be added, the price may change as the game nears full release. If there is a price change, I am going to notify everyone through the Steam forum and online communities so the players who want to get the game while it is still at its Early Access price, have a chance to do so.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I plan to release updates every one or two months to gather feedback and communicate with the players directly via the Steam Discussions, Discord and other social media. I find community feedback extremely important and, therefore, I would like to work closely with players in every step of our development process.”
