“I am a solo indie developer making a fairly complex game. It's getting to the point where I think some players might see the potential and want to support development and ensure they have access to the game after the playtest version closes.

I'd love to find some dedicated players to get their suggestions on improvements and features they want to see in Gobs of Glory!”

“Likely 1-2 years. I could scale back the game to just the arena fighting portion and release at any point with regular updates but I'd rather take my time and add all the features that I want to see in my "dream game".”

“I am currently working on polishing, fixing bugs, and improving performance in the open world map building part of the game.

Once this is done I plan to start using the map builder to create my first campaign missions based on my tabletop 5e campaign. I think this will be fairly easy with the groundwork I've built already and I plan to have the first ones completed in the next 1-2 months, depending on my day job!

After that I hope to get some community feedback about what features should be added next, more skills/spells/abilities/classes vs. more campaign missions vs. more open world possibilities vs. more arena combat options and to focus my efforts on what people request.

I'm not in a big rush to finish development as it is a rewarding hobby for me but my intent is to keep working on Gobs of Glory until it's something I can be proud to release to players.”

“I have working PvP and PvE arena combats, a PvP leaderboard, inventory, store, character progression, multiclassing working well.

I have a proof of concept but mostly functional open world map builder in active playtesting that still needs some optimizations and has lots of bugs. I'm working on this actively with my current small playtest group.

Right now player made maps and structures are very ephemeral and could get wiped regularly, and you need to request access to the map builder but this is the main focus of development and should be ready for more permanent open world building soon!”

“The full game price will likely be higher after Early Access if I am able to get anyone interested in it. If there is very little interest I might keep it at a very low price until more people start playing.

I'm not really trying to make money here, I'm mainly trying to find some people who are interested enough in the concept that they want to be involved in development of my dream game!

I will continue playtesting for free through the beginning of the early accesss release.

You should only buy the early access if you want to be involved with development and to guarantee continued access after I close the playtest. I'll keep free playtesting available for a while so just playtest for free if you're not sure about the game!

“I have a subreddit where I try to get community feedback and fix any bugs found by players ASAP.

I want to get active players who enter early access to give suggestions on what spells, abilities and game features they want me to add, and what bugs to prioritize fixing.

Gobs of Glory - A turn based multiplayer RPG true to the 5e SRD ruleset. For Windows, Mac, Linux.

Outwit your opponents in tactical turn-based PvP and PvE combat. As you win battles your character will gain riches and experience which can be used to level up and buy powerful magical items. At the end of each arena season characters will be richly rewarded by their Incantor based on their rank and Glory!

Features online multiplayer PvP combat as well as PvE solo & co-op modes. Play solo or as a team to develop complex tactics that you can take back to the tabletop for even more Glory!

I'll keep server up as much as possible - If it's down something crashed - please post on the subreddit linked on the right and I'll fix it ASAP. Was going to have planned server uptime but I can't find anyone who wants to play with me anyway 😭 I'll just keep them up all the time and hope for the best.
