Varför Early Access?

“I am a Korean game developer who has always admired turn-based roguelike games. I combined that admiration with a zombie apocalypse to create my first solo project, Terminus: Zombie Survivors. Currently, the game has many gameplay mechanics, including a grid system, complex condition management, scavenging, and survival. I have entered the game into Steam Early Access in hopes of refining these mechanics as well as adding more content and features with the help of Early Access players.”

“My primary goal is to make the best game I possibly can. So while I am expecting two years of Early Access development, it may take longer. Early Access players will get frequent development updates.”

“The current state of the game is focused on implementing and refining the core gameplay mechanics, so it is generally light on content. During this Early Access period, more content will be added over time, and the final game will have much more depth and replay value.”

“All of the core gameplay is in place. You can experience the entire game, from creating your character to arriving at the Terminus. The Early Access build already has hundreds of items, zombies, NPCs, and randomly generated places to explore, with more to be added during development. Core traits of survivors can be determined with the Occupation System. There are currently 13 occupations with more to come.”

Terminus: Zombie Survivors is a turn-based survival roguelike set against the backdrop of a zombie apocalypse. Weeks have passed since the zombie virus took hold of humanity, and most of the population has already been infected. As one of the few remaining survivors, you must finally venture out to join up with the other survivors at the Terminus. Battle your way through hunger, frigid temperatures, and ravenous zombies to make it to the safe zone, where your only chance for survival awaits!

EXPLORE A RANDOMLY GENERATED MAP


Each journey for survival is different, as the very city you battle to survive through is procedurally generated. Over 150 different places are generated, with numerous locations to discover, hundreds of items to scavenge, and endless zombies to evade or fight. No two games are ever the same, but the journey to the Terminus is just as challenging each time.

BE STRATEGIC IN TURN-BASED PLAY


Choose your next move carefully! Every movement, action, and decision you make deducts from your Action Points (AP). Strategic management of your AP is key to survival. Use too little, and you might not find the resources needed to survive. Use too much, and you may leave yourself open to attack.

CRAFT, COOK, AND SURVIVE


Maintain your condition to stay in fighting shape in this apocalypse. Surviving isn't easy - you'll need to eat, sleep, and stay warm. Scavenge for materials to craft tools and weapons, and cook meals to keep your energy up. Every action, from crafting to cooking, directly impacts your chances of survival.

FIGHT VARIOUS ZOMBIES


Choose from a wide arsenal of tools and weapons with which to attack the oncoming zombie horde. Pick which parts of the body you want to hit, and experiment with the countless options on offer - if in doubt, remove the head, or destroy the brain!

FIND THE TERMINUS


The Terminus is the convergence point for what is left of humanity, and you will need to do whatever is necessary to get there. Read maps, listen to the radio, and follow railroad tracks to reach the shelter in the only haven in a city overrun by zombies.

DIE AND RETRY


A seemingly endless number of zombies stand between you and the Terminus, one wrong move or decision and it’s all over. Don’t be discouraged though, each death is a lesson that takes you closer and closer to the Terminus.

Soldier, police officer, firefighter, farmer - each one fair differently in an apocalypse, but it’s up to you to discover which one stands the best chance of surviving. With 15 different classes to choose from, traits to unlock, and stats to upgrade, build the ultimate survivor.

EXPAND YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH NPC ENCOUNTERS


Clawing your way across the city, you’ll occasionally encounter other uninfected survivors. Band together with them on your journey, trade goods, or steal their supplies and make your own way to the Terminus.
