«Before I say anything, I want to state that I encourage players to not buy the game unless they want to be a part of the development process, and rather try the Free Demo instead! If you like the game and the 2 missions available, you are welcome to purchase the Early Access campaign to play the other 10+ missions. The game has been in development for a while, and if you take a look at our Steam Community Discussion forum you can see I have been actively listening to peoples feedback, and if you take a look at the update history there have been many many updates prior to this release. After having tested it privately for so long, I want to open things up a bit more to the public as I feel it is the only way to ensure maximum compatibility on all systems.»

Hvor lenge antas det at dette spillet vil være i tidlig tilgang?

«The game has currently been in development with a small group of just over 100+ Beta Testers for approximately 3 years, in my spare time with me also working on other projects. So I feel it is only fair to expect the game to be in early access for another 3 years to give enough time to ensure maximum compatibility on all systems and to take all user feedback into account. It's important to not be over ambitious with this kind of thing, and understand that it takes a very long time to develop a game that is seamless in all aspects.»

Hvordan er det planlagt at fullversjonen skal være forskjellig fra versjonen i tidlig tilgang?

«The game currently has a huge range of features, and a playable campaign of about 12 missions plus 4 bonus missions. The main story campaign is currently completable so I plan to spend the rest of the 3 years adding a host of other features including mini-games and side quests as well as fixing any bugs reported in the community forum or one the Discord. Overall, I plan for the final game to be a lot more polished than it is now as it will have been in development for twice the time.»

Hva er nåværende tilstand for versjonen i tidlig tilgang?

«Prior to releasing with Early Access, I have been testing with a private group of people who have helped me ensure that the game is quite stable and without many bugs. According to analysis, the game story campaign is completed within 2-3 hours, but many of our players have managed to play for over 10-20 hours completing all side quests and achievements. Its been a long road prior to this, but I am finally happy enough with the state of the game to launch into Early Access without feeling like I am releasing a broken product. I simply wish to use this period of development to perfect the game.»

Vil spillet være priset annerledes under og etter tidlig tilgang?

«The game is currently priced at a dollar store price, as development goes on there might be slight increases to account for inflation - but at the time of completion within 3 years from now, a new price will be negotiated and agreed upon within the community. I want to price the game as fairly as possible, and within the region of what people believe it is worth.»

Hvordan planlegger dere å involvere samfunnet i utviklingsprosessen?

«The community has already been very involved in developing the game in the last 3 years, which you can clearly see by looking at our discussions forum on Steam - or joining the Discord. So I will continue in this fashion. I am extremely active and always respond to people who make suggestions. Please do let me know your thoughts! I am always willing to listen.»

In the vast wilderness of South Africa's Northern Province, a battle is raging between the ruthless poachers who seek to exploit the region's natural resources, and the dedicated game rangers who are determined to protect the animals and preserve the beauty of the land. "Poached: Hunt The Hunter" puts you in the shoes of a game ranger, tasked with defending the nature reserve from the poachers who seek to destroy it.

Here you must fight to survive. It’s man versus beast versus man versus man. And if you’re no stranger to danger, come play as a ranger fighting off armies of ruthless poachers with nothing but your wits, harsh language, braai tongs and an arsenal of weapons that would make any arms dealer green with envy. You wake up in your camp, make breakfast, get your orders and shoot poachers on sight using high powered automatic weapons. Simple. Or you skip breakfast, that’s up to you. Or you chase chickens around for half an hour, grow hallucinogenic plants in the shed, spend the day barbequing goat chops to perfection, race ostriches or rescue lost rangers stuck in trees, I’m not going to tell you how to live your life. You play it your way. This is the POACHED experience.

The game has currently been in development for approximately 3 Years, and will be releasing into Early Access for a dollar-store price.

The Early Access process will last another 3 years to ensure maximum compatibility with all systems and best possible experience.

The price will remain low and fair as agreed by the community at all times of the development phase and full transparency is always ensured. The games development is fully self funded and I encourage players to rather not buy the game until it's out of early access unless they want to be involved in the development process and instead download the free demo while waiting for the finished game! The demo itself will be regularly updated as the main game branch is updated for free forever.
