Miksi Early Access?

I want to make the best game I can, and even in beta I’ve learnt that working directly with the community is the best way to do that.

Drabidiboo is a turn-based strategy game for two players and I have lots that I want to add, and Early Access is the best way for me to receive constant valuable feedback, collaborate with the players on what they want to see, and keep the players in mind at every step of the development cycle.

I have a lot of plans about the final version of the games and the features I would like to implement, many on them have already been groomed and planned for the next sprints, but the feedback from the community will be crucial to understand what is really needed and what is not.

Desired visuals features

VFX+SFX: More Pets animations and sounds for actions.
Client performance optimization.
Lights and particle effects optimization.
New shaders.
Pet declaration card needs to be reworked.
Game Splash with Video Intro.
Pet color variants and premium skins.

Desired Gameplay features

"Paralysis" status.
META fine tuning (reiterate this ticket if needed).
4x PvP maps for weekly events.
Daily Rewards for returning players.
Roguelike story mode (single player campaign).
AI: make it smarter.
Replace "End Turn" button with a timer for multiplayer games.

For very wide screen, first run has wrong resolution.

The client is stable but it's still a beta: it will be tuned for better performance and debugged before the final release.

Muuttuuko pelin hinta Early Access -vaiheen jälkeen?

I currently have no plans to change the game's price but I will remove the Early Access Pack and its bundle when the game will be completed.

The legendary Pet provided by the Early Access Pack will not be longer available to be purchased, but it will still be playable from whom have obtained it.

The package will be replaced by a starter kit but it has not been decided yet what it will contain.

Drabidiboo is a turn-based strategy game of prediction with a strong meta component, containing a large set of Pets to collect and use to build up your team.

Learn to play in 30 seconds!

A match is played by 2 players on a board of 10x10 tiles, locally against the AI or via internet with a random opponent.

Each player must form a team of 4 Pets; to keep the game balanced, each Pet has a cost (crystals) and both players can spend only a given amount of them to form the team.

You win if you own more Star Gems than your opponent when the last one is collected.
You lose if each of your pets faint.
Win and loss conditions are always evaluated at the end of the turn.

The match is made up of rounds. A round has 2 phases: DECLARE and RESOLVE.
During the declare phase, you must give an order to each of your Pets. Simultaneously your opponent will do the same.

PLEASE NOTE: you don't know what your opponent is about to declare and vice versa. This is a game of prediction!

(You can declare an order using the Pet cards that surround the board)
You are blue. Your opponent is red.

During an order you can declare:

when to act (last / first)
where to go (movement)
to turn or not (rotation)
what to do (action)

Of course, you can also decide to skip one or all of these commands if you want your Pet to stand still. ;)
