Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“It's difficult to give an exact number, as development is a very time consuming process. But an estimated minimum is roughly 8 months until the game is in "beta" (feature-complete). After this, development will still go on for a while. This is to take in feedback for a better overall user experience.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The game is planned to be a very open and moddable vehicle simulator, with various features related to vehicle interaction. It should have Multiplayer interaction, full modding support, and a lot of customization options for a lot of things in the game. Such as UI Mods, Vehicles, Props, Maps... practically anything! There is also planned to be other types of vehicles besides cars, trucks etc. Planned other vehicles include Trains, Boats, and other types vehicles to take you places.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“You can make all sorts of custom content, including Vehicles, Maps, UI Mods, Props, Custom fonts... The game has Multiplayer so you can interact with others and share your custom content with them. Play with your friends, or make new ones. Overall, an open custom experience for the player. With full modding support, a Scripting API, examples, and official content/tutorials help you get started making content easily!”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price may go up as development reaches certain points, new features are added, or an overall more stable experience is created.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

About This Game

Sethtek Driving Simulator (SDS), is an open world, moddable vehicle simulator.
It is not intended to be an advanced, ultra realistic vehicle simulator. But it does house advanced simulation features for parts. Such as, Engines, Gearboxes, Wheels, Brakes, and more.

SDS has full modding support, make vehicles of any kind or shape. With any properties or customized components.
You can make maps, UI addons, Code addons and other various mods for the game, to customize it in any way you like it to be.

Why is SDS the game for you?

You have the freedom to do what you like, drive a box truck and deliver cargo, race a car on a track, have a demolition derby, drive an 18 wheeler. It's up to you to create the scene. You can play around with the stock content, or download mods other people have made and play with them! If you still aren't satisfied... You can make mods yourself. With a complete video tutorial series, a documentation, and example resources. You can make anything.

Planned scene/world saving features

With this, you could set up a scene, or town on a map. And play around like things in real life.
Make a parking lot of cars, or a warehouse full of truck trailers. You have the freedom to do what you like.

Open world maps

Maps that come with the game have no limits to where you can go. If your vehicle can fit, you can take it there. unless you teleport the vehicle, hehe

Advanced vehicle component simulation

Your vehicle parts can overheat, break, and have different performance properties. This provides more freedom to customize your vehicle and even fine tune certain parts, if you are into that sort of thing ;)
