Why Early Access?

“Barbarian is a project I've dedicated nearly three years to crafting. As a solo developer, I've poured my heart and soul into this project. After thorough consideration, I've made the exciting decision to introduce Barbarian in an Early Access phase. This step allows me to harness the power of community feedback to shape and elevate the game to its fullest potential before its official release.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The duration of the Early Access phase will depend on various factors, with the goal being to complete it ideally within a year. However, if everything progresses smoothly, there's a chance the game could exit Early Access even sooner.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of Barbarian is envisioned to deliver an even more enriched gaming experience with an array of additional features. This covers an expanded world, introducing more areas for exploration, an assortment of challenging boss battles, a wider diversity of foes to confront, and much more. Your feedback is of utmost importance, as it will be pivotal in shaping the ultimate version of the game. Please don't hesitate to share your thoughts and ideas; I am dedicated to incorporating valuable feedback and suggestions.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“When the Early Access version of the game is first released, it will be in a stable and playable state. It will introduce a storyline and offer a vast open-world experience for you to explore and enjoy.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The pricing strategy for Early Access might see changes, but it's unlikely that I would increase the price during this phase. However, please keep in mind that adjustments to the pricing structure could occur as the game evolves.”

About This Game




"Barbarian" is an action-RPG game developed by a single indie developer that combines intense combat with survival and crafting elements.
In this game, you play as the last surviving member of a legendary barbarian tribe and must battle powerful bosses to defeat an evil force that threatens the world.

As you journey through the open world environment, you must scavenge for resources, cook food to stay nourished, and build shelter to protect yourself from the dangers of the wilderness.

The combat in "Barbarian" is intense and demands precise timing and skill, featuring challenging boss battles and the use of parrying and dodging to dodge and deflect enemy attacks.

With a crafting system in place, you can craft the weapons and armor that best suit your playstyle, and you can level up your character as you defeat enemies, becoming stronger.

Features
In Barbarian, you can chop wood, and mine rock.
Gather materials in order to craft items and weapons.
Build a home, craft a chest, store your items.
Explore different environments with your magical horse.
Level up, and gear your character to prepare for mighty foes, and boss battles.

Barbarian will have 3 different game modes, normal, hardcore, and hardcore +. In all game modes, your character progression will be saved. However, with hardcore, and hardcore + you will lose your character progression on death. This will be more for those hardcore gamers, and or speed runners who want to take on a much difficult challenge. (Example - No Death Runs/ Zero damage taken runs)
