What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“This tool is for you, and it's important you get a say in how things should work before things become too refined.”

Approximately how long will this software be in Early Access?

“3-6 months, depending on how things go”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The early access version is malleable, your input is able to carry greater weight and influence the project to a greater extent. The full version will be more refined but also more difficult to change. Other than that, there will be no feature differences or limitations between the two.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Stable, ready to go. All videos and screenshots were made with implemented and available features, including body, hair, muscle and cloth support. I would encourage you to try it out in production; the save format is locked and will remain backwards compatible as new versions are produced, so you won't lose your work.”

Will this software be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Early access will have a more accessible price, to reflect the early nature of the software and the amount of help we get in return for your input.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Development will be in "listening-mode" during early access; if you're silent and happy during that time then that's fine, but do take the opportunity to leave your mark on the project while you can. Commuincation will take place here on the Steam forums mostly, with an additional Discord channel for those interested.”

About This Software

Real-time Physics For Maya 2020

Animate like it's 1999, or leverage full-body dynamics to automate the vast majority of overlapping animation that even respond to changes in environment and interacts with other characters.

Ragdoll enables animators to work directly with live physics in their character rigs, at very little overhead and tight integration with kinematics.

You can steer a simulated character with regular keyframe animation, like the above where the blue provides target poses and the colorful ragdoll obeys.

The collision detection and constraints are stable and accurate enough to produce mathematical models, like this Reuleaux Triangle contraption.

You can use it for cloth too, any overlapping animation will do just fine.

Including the kind of overlapping animation taking place internally, like muscles, fat and tendons.

I could go on, but you should really try it for yourself. Enjoy!
