Every Level Is a Memory

You don’t just explore locations, you infiltrate minds.

Each mission represents a piece of someone’s memory — a reconstructed narrative space shaped by how they remember events. 

Hidden throughout each level are Word Gems: Collect them and the story becomes clear. Miss them and parts remain blurred. The more you explore, the more truth you reveal.

Completionists don’t just get more lore — Word Gems also act as currency in the hub world, unlocking upgrades and abilities. Stealth isn’t just survival, it’s investigation.

Minds Shape the World

There are eight key memory threads you will investigate — each with their own environment, enemies, and psychological tone. 

You’ll move through:

• Twisted forests

• Gothic cathedrals

• Echoing caverns

• Brutal industrial zones

Each mind changes what hunts you.

Forest memories may trap you with poison trails and creatures that punish exposure.

Cathedral minds flood the shadows with lantern-bearing wraiths.

Industrial nightmares introduce enemies that hide in darkness — just like you. 

Every space reflects its owner. And every owner has something to hide.

Enemies That Demand Patience

All enemies hunt by sight, sound, and proximity — but each type forces new stealth decisions. 

Enemies may illuminate shadows, stripping you of cover; box you in with poison or glue; or, fire homing projectiles if you move too quickly.

You can’t brute force your way through. You must observe, adapt and disappear.

The Environment Is the Real Enemy

SHADE isn’t just about patrols. It’s about surviving hostile spaces. Levels are layered stealth puzzles — where timing matters as much as positioning.

As a newly formed Shade, you develop supernatural abilities that redefine stealth. These powers don’t replace stealth — they expand your options.
